This is a hidden gem ! Very bright and well illustrated menu . So many choices I have never been disappointed always fresh hot and well seasoned dishes . The home made chips and salsa are a great start not your mediocre chips you get from others. Portions are huge be prepared to take some home.

I am a small business owner and as a business owner I know first hand that their customer service at this establishment was very horrible. No one greets you. I asked multiple times for a menu to the two employees that were in the dining area. I came in at 5:32pm 10/29/2022 to grab something to go. I was going to order despite the lack of but they clearly showed me that my money wasn’t valued there.

What an amazing find! I had carne asada and it was a big, perfectly cooked skirt steak along with great accoutrements. Even the rice and beans were great. Very friendly people. Loved it.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve done a bad review on a restaurant. But with this experience I think it’s time the service was semi-decent my rating is on the food one of the items we got was chile rellenos they were absolutely dreadful I know everybody Cooks them different but this was absolutely horrible another item my family had ordered was the chicken and shrimp fajitas for two that was not bad I personally believe that their keg’s need to be changed I ordered a 16 oz Blue Moon and it came out tasting like urine hundred dollars for a family of four not too bad not too good either I might give them another chance in the future I don’t know yet my wife and I lost our food the second we left the restaurant

Wow! This is the best Mexican restaurant we’ve been to in a long time, and Louisville has a plethora of options. The molcajete options are incredible – they are as large as your head, and enough food for 3 people. The gordita are freshly made and one of my favorites.

The ambience was very nice. My server was so sweet. The menu selection was different than any other Mexican restaurant I’ve visited. I didn’t see a vegetarian option, however the shrimp quesadilla was good and the shrimps were HUGE! It definitely made up for the stale chips. I will definitely be back.

We LOVE this restaurant! So authentic. And THE best margarita I’ve ever had! I get the El Mariachi margarita with casa amigos reposado with tahini salt. Tacos are the best but all the food we’ve had has been amazing. And we love the homemade chips which are usually served hot.

I ordered taco de asado (steak taco) fries and a white sangria. I would like to say the tacos were amazing I did not use salsa just pico de gallo because the meat was flavored. The fries were hot and made to order. I ordered a white sangria which was hit or miss and a miss for me but I had a good time. The restaurant was clean, not crowded, quick service, nice staff, good music and a overall welcoming environment. I would definitely come again to this restaurant and the prices were cheap.

I discovered El Mariachi by accident and was so impressed that I brought a new aquaintance there to share lunch! The nachos and salsa are light, crunchy, and full of flavor! Food portions are ample and perfectly priced. All our entries were well cooked, expertly flavored and very tasty. I will be telling all my friends about this jewel of a restaurant. Muchos Gracias!

My wife and I grew up in Chicago and have visited many local mom n pop mexican establishments and know authentic flavors used in their meals. Well, let me tell you, the menudo (I asked for a large bowl) was fantastic. We also had some Carne asada tacos with their homemade corn tortillas, and it was also spot on.
