For our monolingual friends, this place is pronounced “El Mall-a-cone”. This place is a great place for seafood and Mexican dishes. We were seated right away and a waitress brought chips and salsa within 30 seconds. Service was friendly and everybody spoke Spanish. They have a menu full of delicious items. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful and it can be ordered with or without shrimp, which is good for people with allergies like me. I like ordering the seafood fajitas, they were fantastic! Portions were well served, we needed a to go box when we left. Prices aren’t bad, they are pretty reasonable. We have been to three El Malecon restaurants and each one has the same great service. The atmosphere reminds you of being at the beach with lots of ocean decor. The picture is from another location, but they all have the ocean/beach theme going on which makes it a fun place to eat. We really like it here and we will be back again soon.

I am already not a fan. I come because my husband likes it. It took them 3 times to bring us the Queso. Once it did come it was cold! It took us asking another waitress to call her for her to come check with us. I’ve worked at a restaurant and know the struggle so i don’t complain unless absolutely necessary!

I like spicy but this was over the top ridiculously spicy. My bro in law had a camaron plat an shrimps were over cooked. Neither of us finished our food. 0 Star food

One of my favorite restaurants in Midland. Despite not being close to any body of water , this place manages to cook delicious seafood dishes. The portions are huge. Drinks are good. Service could be a tad slow, but still fine. Definitely will recommend to anyone who likes tex-mex version of seafood. But discard the other more traditional dishes. You won’t be disappointed with any of them!

The food was really good and I loved that they had unusual dishes it is not a typical West Texas Mexican restaurant it is so much better than that great interior atmosphere and the waiters and waitresses were on the ball and seem to care about their job

My first time eating here. For me personally, the service was better than anything else. Music was too loud, had to ask to turn it down ( Sat us right underneath a speaker ) the carne asada Taquitos were ok but they definitely could have been better and the mini corn tortillas could have at least been grilled a bit. Tasted like they took them out of the package, placed them on the plate then put the carne and cheese on top. Lemonade was too tart.

This place is great. If seafood and Mexican are your favorites then this place is for you. The menu features a combination of the two.A bit pricey but worth every penny. I had the shrimp tacos this time and they are the best I have ever had. I love the Molcajete dishes here and the chips and hot sauce are top notch.
