I’ve been here a few times now since they’ve opened. It may take a moment to be seated but it’s a nice, cozy little restaurant with good food and strong drinks. Nothing mind blowing, but good for the area. It can get loud during peak hours, so not a good place if you actually want to hold a conversation. I especially love being able to walk here when the weather is decent.

Great food, great service, excellent staff. Larry the owner remembers you when you come in more than once. Glad that my favorite Mexican restaurant is three blocks from my house. I would recommend anything on the menu, I’ve had almost every dish at El Jardin. We actually brought our wedding party here…

This location continually seems to be changing hands and a new restaurant opening up for some reason. El Jardin has been around for a while now though and I finally stopped in for lunch with a client. The interior has a warm and inviting feel to it and had lively salsa music playing. It took a few minutes for a hostess to appear and seat us. I had the carne asada burrito which was lackluster in flavor and didn’t come with sauce unless you wanted to add it for $.95. Overall I would pass on this place, but may give it one more chance.

Our family has dined at El Jardin many times since it first opened in Lake Zurich. We are vegetarian and always ask our waiters whether the food we are ordering is vegetarian. Every time we go, our servers have ensured us that we were ordering vegetarian food, free from chicken stock or other forms of meat.

Excellent service the food was very tasty the portions are very large The margaritas leave a little to be desired but otherwise our experience was awesome the desserts were good however the fried ice cream should have some chocolate sauce with it. We will definitely be back!

Very bland, very. If your afraid of delicious complex food come here. Slimy looking owner offering to throw in something for free to someone on their 50 dollar catering order….he offered…salsa.
