First time I tried this place in Statesboro. It is El Jalapeño. We had good service, good food. Love their chips… tasted light, not real hard chips. Salsa was good. Angie had avocado dip and it looked fresh. I had taco salad and she had chimichanga plate.

We had a small going away party one evening in May. Although a native of Statesboro, I had never been until then. The food was fantastic! Our order did take a while since it was the dinner rush, but that is understandable. It came out hot and fresh and was tasty! They even went above and beyond by bringing out a cake and presents that we brought in. Everyone had a great time! I will surely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.

Holy Moly do NOT sleep on El Jalapeño bebe! i Stan for burria tacos & was so ecstatic to see they had them on the menu! Upon arriving it was confirmed so i ordered a drink (can’t remember now of course but pretty good) & forged on!! The burria tacos were definitely comparable to my favorite contenders & the pricing was fair as well!! i arrived before the late lunch/dinner crowd so all was calm & lovely but after 4ish it got busy would definitely be back, my waitress was bomb too ill edit if i find her name

The food is great. However, it appears they are understaffed and over worked. No directions on where to pay. Took my ticket to the counter and was told “next time pay at the table”. The guy was a little rude in the way he said it. A little training goes a long way, especially if you want customer’s to return.

So, our server was Charlotte. We went inside and very patient and kind in the beginning, but then noticed that she was taking about 15 minutes to get everything for our table. Then, we noticed that she was chilling at the table in the corner on her phone having a good time while we needed refills and more salsa.We started asking for straws because we were missing a few and for some salsa, and she came back with an attitude and was slamming down the rest of our stuff after that. We asked for our checks after our plate were done for about 15 minutes and that still took a minute and then only gave us one pen (with 6 people at the table.) She also had the audacity to answer phone calls while finishing up our orders. I WOULD Not recommend Charlotte as your server.

This place was definitely a disappointment for me. I came here for my birthday and was expecting it to be really great based off other reviews and pictures but nope I was wrong. The food was tasteless I had to add salt to everything. I won’t be coming back to give them a second chance because it was that bad. The only thing that was good was the icecream lol.

Depending on who is working you will be overcharged. I ordered a meal that was normally $14, but was charged $20.34 for it. When I called for a refund the next day, I was told that it has to be done the same day or else it couldn’t be done. The employee that overcharged me would have still been working the shift so there was no way of getting in touch with a different person when I called up there to correct the mistake. If ANYTHING doesn’t sound right, speak with a manager, because there are employees that will tell you what they believe rather than verify what is true.

The shrimp had a horrible smell and taste as if it was expired or just was bad shrimp. Everyone was really nice about it however it just left a bad taste in our mouth and we couldn’t even finish the rest of our food. Would still recommend.
