This place was packed when we arrived on a Saturday night. Huge indoor and outdoor seating area. Workers were buzzing around taking orders and delivering food/drinks, they were super friendly and efficient.

Drove our boat but they have nowhere to dock, took it home and drove. After being seated we realized they have no a/c, which means it was as hot inside as out but no breeze. Ordered tacos and was presented with the driest, tasteless, and sad tacos I’ve ever seen. Won’t be returning.

We went there for the first time last night. Very nice and clean and service was great. The food was very good and do recommend you giving it a try . It has both In door and outside dining available with lakefront views.

My new favorite restaurant at the lake. I had high hopes that a Mexican place right on the water would be decent, and it was Bette than I was expecting. The food was very good, the menu choices were vast and creative, and the drinks options were a lot of fun. The staff was very nice, and they worked so hard to provide great service. And we went when they were packed over the holidays. One thing I didn’t realize from the reviews is that this place is very large – both inside and the patio outside overlooking the water. Great for small or big groups. Two thumbs up.

Food was amazing and Service was outstanding. Patron Margarita was excellent. Seafood Fajitas were delicious. Nachos excellent. Can’t wait to go back! Chorizo Cheese Dip outstanding. The view is amazing.

My wife and I enjoy eating here. It has become our ” go to” restaurant. The food is great, the portions are huge, and the price is very reasonable. The drinks are also very good and again, the prices are reasonable. I very highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited El Gran Patron while vacationing in Lake Anna. We should have left after waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes without any staff acknowledging us, but we were finally seated. The bar was covered in dirty margarita glasses which should have been another sign of what was to come. The restaurant must have had AC issues as it was warm with fans everywhere.

Food portions are large and tasty. Prices, especially for drinks are expensive for the area. The staff is very friendly but for some reason the service is slow. Even when the place is empty from the time you order your drinks to actually getting them takes a long time. But they seem to be getting better. Love having a restaurant on this side of the lake.

I thought this place was decent. It was busy for middle of summer. The food was good. Service wasn’t great as waiter was gone more than he was around. Atmosphere was nice but it was a warm day and sat in the sun. Umbrella was broken. I wouldn’t rave about it but will give it another shot.
