Stopped by this little hole in the wall for lunch. Had the Taco dinner plate and it was excellent. If you’re ever in El Rito you need to visit.

Great spot for authentic northern New Mexican food! Limited hours and bring cash!

This is literally about the size of a trailer, so “hole in the wall”does not describe it. But it is also an experience that the street foodie does not want to miss. If you are in the area, you must try it out. I like to go there after hiking the surface of the moon (Plaza Blanca) and before driving to Taos.

Very good priced food, sells some snacks / eggs / veggies. Note tacos are hard shelled and chicken is pulled/stringy.

Easy to miss as you drive into El Rito NM, but that would be a mistake! Superb hospitality, best burgers and home made Mexican food North of Santa Fe! Be sure to stop. Highly recommended.

One of the best places with cheap, legit New Mexican food. Numerous accolades posted on the walls. The owner is also the cook and server. Food takes awhile because it’s actually cooked when ordered. 6 tables and super tiny restaurant, but definitely worth the out of the way trip. Red chile is vegetarian but the green is made with pork. Will definitely be back. Love to support our Mom and Pops. A true hidden gem in New Mexico.

One of the best kept secrets of New Mexico. As close as you can get to home cooked Northern New Mexico food.

I first ate here in 2018 while working down the street at the El Rito Ranger District. It set my personal bar for top-notch New Mexican dining.

Love this place and the family who own it! Extremely friendly and kind. And I’m not saying just because I’m local. A definite must!
