Stopped here twice going through Oklahoma. Great place. The food is really good. The salsa is tasty and the chips are fresh and not oily. They have fish tacos which are delicious! And their corn tortillas actually hold up!

We always enjoy the food at Don Poncho’s. I am happy to report they finally got their liquor license and they have a good Margarita on the Rocks with appropriate margarita salt. Which I cannot say for all restaurants in the area.

I have been here a few times. Visit down in checotah a lot due to family, and usually the food/restaurants around here are very subpar. This tex-mex style cuisine is actually pretty good. I liked the tamales, they have good guac, lots of options on their menu as well.

The food is good, we came just as the rush hit. But still the food came fast. Service was good. Prices $$ average 9 to 15 dollars. Might help to know some Spanish. Lol

Food was okay. Unexpected charges…$3 open food? Wth? They bring you salsa and chips and obviously charge you for it. Charged for a couple tortillas and overpriced on sopapilla. Service okay.

Picky eater. So I am not a fan of refried beans on nachos. I requested no veggies, and they sent with no veggies and everything else. Then I saw the beans well covered under everything. Had to send back to correct again. I even ordered in Spanish. And nachos are made with taco shells and not chips.

Like Casa Bonita please think about teaching the servers english as they know their native language. My spanish is poquito but the surprise was the shrimp and chicken tacos ! I will definitely take my dad here again. Im spoiled w the food living in SF bay area but the shrimp w cheese n bacon n ham bits blew my mind. Mucho delicioso!

The food is SO VERY good here. There are many different items that I’m not used to seeing on a Mexican menu, so I just picked an item & tried it & was very satisfied. It was a flavorful meaty dish (lunch #12 Alambre) with a combination of all of the meat (at the waiter’s suggestion). There are several dishes with Alambre in it, I’ve tried a few & am never disappointed. I try something new each time I’ve been there now bc I didn’t know what goodness I’ve missed out on for my whole life as my stomach thinks it is Mexican, lol. My family usually stays w more traditional dishes like enchiladas, chimichanga & burritos which they totally enjoy here. They prefer the flavorful fajita meat in their chimichangas. We always order queso to go along with their super delicious salsa. They family that run the place are ALWAYS friendly & helpful. I’m glad they came to our town & I hope they stay❣️
