Tamales were ok, but honestly, for the price, you best be happy. Chips/cheese were good but very few. Had to go buy extra chips elsewhere. Taco were above average.

Good spot for mexican food. I had dinner here roughly a week ago. I had the fajitas and pineapple juice. The dish was a huge portion I couldn’t even finish it which doesn’t happen often. The pineapple juice was definitely fresh squeezed and was a 32oz mug. The food was very well priced I thought. Service was decent though the servicer had too many table to attend to. Atmosphere was good. This restaurant is sort of in between a fast food stop and a dine in restaurant. The server also didn’t have the greatest English which perhaps is the mark of it being genuinely mexican. Overall a good place to satisfy that Mexican food craving for cheap.

The drinks were good! Chips were good too the salsa need salt..the food was good the mole and the guaraches were good but the pollo loco was not my favorite the chicken was wired I don’t know how to describe it. I was rubbery,squishy, too soft and didn’t smell good it was just wired.. My stomach got upset a little after eating it.

February 13, 2023: Was looking for the dish/soup Pozole Verde and based on recommendations found out El Cubilete offered the dish. I did visit a year ago and wasn’t really impressed, but everyplace deserves a second chance. I was greeted by Nicole who got me seated and brought some homemade chips & salsa with my beer. I ordered the Pozole Verde (chicken version) and when she delivered it the bowl was HUGE. On the side you can add onions, jalapeños, cilantro, etc. to customize the soup to your tastes and heat level. I did find it odd that they gave you lettuce versus cabbage which is what is normally provided. My experience with Pozole is limited but this soup was delicious. The broth/base was hearty and flavorful with just enough heat to allow you to enjoy the various flavors but not overwhelming the soup. The hominy was perfectly cooked al dente and the chicken was large chunks of tender white meat nicely seasoned. I might have made it through half the bowl and took the rest home…I can’t wait to see how it tastes after sitting overnight. This is a really good soup and is a meal designed to fill you up. I’m very glad I came back again, the food was great and the service from Nicole was wonderful!

The open sign was off. Our waitress spilled a drink on my brother’s lap. Also The bathroom was locked the whole time. The food was good and warm. We were almost done with our food when we received the tortillas and the tortillas were cold.

Well if your looking for authentic Mexican food. You found the spot, there’s allot of options here, and honestly probably most soups including goat stew “caldo de chivo” if seen at a Mexican restaurant. But the Barbacoa tacos were fabulous the barbacoa plate looked to die for as well but I needed something quick for the road. There is a drive through here too which is pretty convenient. Highly recommend a stop here if u need a tasty taco fix

Wow! Another delicious spot in Murfreesboro. The second you walk in you can smell you’re gonna love it. I had the Barbacoa de res and it was amazing. The salsa and chips was also excellent. I love the extra crunchy fresh chips. Much closer to authentic Mexican food. I really enjoyed this. It reminded me a bit of my time in Monterey Mexico. Great food and great service. I’m sure I’ll be back.
