Went for breakfast. I had the chicharrones breakfast plate. Everything was delicious. The chicharrones were tender, the beans and potatoes were great, the eggs cooked perfectly and the corn tortillas were hot and tender. The place is small and has only 9 tables so it can get packed during rush time. The servers were helpful and attentive. I look forward to going back.

I am not from Pasadena , so I went online to find a place for breakfast. They had a lot of things to choose from. I had the Machado plate ALa Mexicana ( I did not order it that way , but with the language barrier , that is how I got it). I normally just don’t care for the cooked tomatoes , but it was so good. Everything was fresh and hot , the potatoes were crisp outside , soft inside, and the refried beans were very good , not stiff , but not runny. I also got homemade flour tortillas, and they were very good and piping hot , just right to spread butter on. Next time I am in the area , I will come for breakfast and try something else . Small place service could have been a little quicker , but the food was excellent.

i came here on my lunch break and ended up having a hair i’m my food so i called and went back to get a new plate and the employees were rude l could hear them in the back “where’s the hair”. like i wouldn’t be wasting my time otherwise. just own up to it and fix it. it’s not that deep anyways not going back just bc of the attitude.

Been living here my whole life I’ve been upset that agave shut down. But today was the very best decision I made to stop and eat lunch here with my husband! 10/10 everything was amazing! Very authentic no cutting corners here. ❤️ Yumm definitely coming back. Pls go visit.

We ordered the Chilaquiles and Machacado a la Mexicana. Both were excellent. Flour torillas were fresh and hot. Coffee is good. Going to try their breakfast tacos next.

This place was so good! I went for breakfast with my mom and we had the chilaquiles and tamales and coffee and it was all perfect. The coffee was good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, I get them over medium and I hate when they come out too runny or too fried and they were just perfect. I forgot to take a pic but it was delicious, both red and green salsa had a good flavor and spice and the tamales were big and tasted so good, my mom said they reminded her of my grandmas and she’s never been able to find any like that. My mom also had the machacado a La Mexicana and she loved how the onions were small and grilled just right. The place was also very clean and the service was excellent and the music was good too. We will definitely be back.
