A very fun place for dinner. The food was great, with lots of options. Prices were fair, and each dish was more than enough food. The salsa that comes with the complimentary ‘chips and salsa’ was very good and different (in a good way) from what is served at a lot of Mexican restaurants. The service was excellent. The decor is unusual, unexpected, and a lot of fun. The only negative was that the music was very loud, and it was hard to hear others talk. Overall, it was a great experience.

The restaurant has a salsa that is unique, you will likely either like it or dislike it, for me the initial taste was “ew” but then an after taste kicked in and I was like “oh ok maybe it isn’t bad” I did continue to eat it, the salsa also has a creamy texture. The food was good in general everyone seemed happy. They were somewhat busy at the time but follow up visits by wait staff was not as often as might be expected. For my own food the language barrier with our waiter proved to be a problem as we communicated about what I wanted on my burritos for several minutes but they still came with only steak on them. The steak was very good, so I wish the other items had been inside. Overall it was a good experience however and the food was good

This was a good quality Mexican restaurant with above average food. Everyone was happy with their meals and most of us took home leftovers. If you are in the area, it is worth a stop if you are craving Mexican food.

I had a pleasant experience at El Charro. The atmosphere inside was an artist dream. I love the decor inside this restaurant. I enjoyed my chicken, bacon and mushrooms tacos. El Charro has their own take on salsa. El Charro had a completely different kind of salsa then I have ever had before. I recommend trying them out for sure. Also the service was good and they were kind to us.

We come here at least once a week. BEST authentic Mexican food in Crawfordsville! Service is always great and the place is always spotless! There hasn’t been a thing that we’ve tried on the menu that hasn’t been amazing. You won’t be disappointed!!

Food was very delicious, needless to say we didn’t all finish our portions. The server was slow to check on us after food was delivered, and we waited for the bill, only to find out it was at the front register. It would have been nice to know this.
