We absolutely loved this place food was great and service was great. The flavors are as authentic as it gets and the torta tasted just like the ones in Guadalajara. Highly recommend!

I love this place for it’s Tortas Ahogadas!!!!! They are small, BUT! They are sooooo good! The bread is nice and toasted. They don’t put the sauce on there. They give it to you separately, so it doesnt get all soggy. That was great. The carnitas here are very flavorful and juicy. The sauce alone wasn’t spicy, but it was very flavorful. I know some people that don’t enjoy food that is too spicy, so i definitely recommend this spot for people who want authentic Tortas Ahogadas without sacrificing flavor and authenticity. Best place for Tortas Ahogadas so far.

Wow, first time here and food was amazing and service was great! Family owned business and such a pleasant dining experience. We started with the Cucumber Lemon Fresca, then ordered 3 tacos with beef, 3 quesadillas (2 beef, 1 pork) and for getting 3 quesadillas, it came with their consome (kind of like an aus ju dipping sauce). We also got a side of rice and bean (and wow some of the best I ever had). For dessert we ended with flan and Jericalla (a dessert native to Guadalajara). When I come back I will have to try their torta.

It was our first time here while visiting the strip and it was worth the detour. The bread of the tortas are 100% authentic and will not turn soggy. Great food, excellent customer service they took me back to grandmas house.

It’s pretty good. Not the best birria, and not the worst. The meat was nice, but it gave me an msg reaction. The chile arbol sauce was really good. The habanero tasted bitter, and I LOVE habanero. They should add cooked carrots to it. It’ll sweeten it up a bit. They shouldn’t use msg. For that reason (msg), I won’t order it again, but they’re pretty tasty. I’m still trying to recover from the reaction right now, hours later. It sucks. You don’t need to put fake caldo in real caldo… I also don’t like that they use Styrofoam.

I love Mexican food, and I love Tortas. When I came across the El Chacho Torta and Birria. The reviews said it was the best in the city, I had to try it. Not only was it the best Torta I have ever had, but their Birria was the best I have ever had. If you are a taco or torta fan, you have to try this place!

I lived in Guadalajara for many years and so I’m always on the hunt to find the best jericalla/torta ahogada everywhere I go. I’m always disappointed but not here! The torta ahogada was so perfect it had the right consistency and authentic flavor! And the jericalla knocked it out the park! It was the perfect finale to that wonderful meal. I knew as soon as I stepped in, it was gonna be right. The smell, the people working there made me feel right at home. Gracias Manuel por el buen servicio y pronto regreso por mas! Don’t be afraid to give this great spot a chance and try some authentic Mexican food
