We have been eating at the Congress location since it opened, but now this one is much closer to home, so we went and tried it out. As always absolutely fantastic food and service, the location is beautiful on the inside and attractive and inviting from the outside. Jasmine is running this location with a lot of her awesome staff from Congress St. If you want true Mexican Food with flavor that explodes in your mouth, than this is your go to place, and incredible drinks as well

I’ve been waiting for 2 years for this location to open, so I’m so happy they are up and running now. No wait on saturday for lunch at 1:30pm. However, it was pretty full. Food was delicious, a gigantic menu with every Mexican dish you can think of and a stellar alcoholic beverage menu. Service was fantastic and fast. Love the decor and atmosphere. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the food menu, as my yummy food arrived and I was distracted by its deliciousness. I’m definitely going back.

Let me tell you friends, good Mexican food is HARD to find – especially in Pasco County, FL. If you love Mexican food and you live here too then I am sure you can relate. I tried Los Magueyes and thought they were going to be the best available out here – but then… I found El Cerrito! They just opened a location near me so I reluctantly tried them. Well… AMAZING!! I’m so excited to have excellent Mexican food close by. I have eaten there multiple times now and I haven’t put a single bite of food in my mouth that wasn’t delicious! I would order any of the things I have eaten there again happily but – my very favorite are the carnitas tacos! They are served with all the things needed to be very authentic- the cilantro and onions, the lime and a spicy sauce that I dab on the meat in each taco before I eat it. They are the best carnitas tacos I have EVER had!! My husband loves the Burrito Calzonete a 10 inch long monster with everything but the kitchen sink in it, topped with a melty cheese sauce and grilled shrimp! Delicious! My sister adores the El pastor tacos too! They have very fresh and delicious guacamole! They have incredible flan and churros. They have delicious cocktails as well!! Their service is incredible (especially the lovely Cathy ) All in all, I firmly believe that El Cerrito is going to fast become THE go-to Mexican restaurant for the whole area so get over there before the word is out and the lines waiting outside to be seated happen! I will be sure to try not to be so excited that I tear into the food before I get pics next time lol! I’ll see y’all over there!!

Pretty close to the same quality as the other location. They were pretty busy because they just opened this restaurant in Hudson. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere top notch. Glad to have a quality mexican food restaurant in our area.

Looking for a place to take my mom for dinner, and I stumbled upon this restaurant. Came in, staff was very friendly, sat us almost immediately. We ordered, feel in love with the mouth watering flavors. Then came the check. 3 meals, 2 appetizers and refilled drinks. In N.Y. I would have spent at least $150. Well $60 and a very nice tip. The 3 of us walked away.

Fast and friendly with awesome and delicious food offereing. Free chips and salsa on entry and lunch specials are offered during the weekdays. Moderately priced. Will return for another visit real soon!
