They did an amazing job sitting our large group of 30! Julio did great at keeping all the orders straight. The food was delicious and fresh. The drinks were delicious! Definitely staying on the list to revisit!

If you haven’t yet had the chance to stop here and enjoy and evening with friends over food and drinks you really need to set aside time to do so. Traditional Mexican seafood like you find along the Mexican coast is how it was explained to me.

Came here yesterday with my in laws. The ostras preparadas (ceviche style oysters in the shell), the fried oysters, and the pulpo a la diabla were amazing. The chocoflan and tres leches were so good too. Service is outstanding. One of the best seafood restaurants in the US!!!

What a great experience! I am from the Los Angeles area and had a craving for some Seafood, you know a Pulpo Cocktail or a Molcajete with Shimp! Well I found what I was seeking! The staff and management were experts at customer service and the food was fantastic! After speaking with a few of the staff I discovered that the owners open 30 years ago and were from LA. The vibe is So Cal seafood right here in San Antonio with 3 locations! I highly recommend El Bucanero!

First time here. The food was good, the service was good. Had Filete de pescado al mojo de ajo, but it was too garlicky. Maybe we will try something else next time. Overall, it was a good experience. Cucumber margarita was good.

If you love ceviche, you need to stop by here. The mango and green ceviche are the best! The portion sizes are huge, so come hungry.

The buccaneer is an incredible restaurant, for people who don’t want seafood to be breaded. These are coastal style, natural and with great seasoning. They are very creative when presenting the dishes and they give them very peculiar names. Everything is delicious, they treated us very well. They have good customer service. You could not be in San Antonio without visiting this restaurant.

Overall disappointed this time! When we come to San Antonio it’s a must to eat here. But Saturday that we when, full of disappointment! To begin where they sat us it was over crowded. Didn’t have space to move. Also seems like the A.C. gave out! It was super hot you couldn’t even enjoy the food. Third waitress took forever bringing drinks even refills! Four that made all of us super upset was all our food was out except for two of our little ones. I was trying to eat slow that way we can still eat when their food come out. And we asked her multiple times like where are the kiddos food. We even shared food from our plates to give them while they wait for their plates. She come around with two plates. One plate was correct the other was wrong. We needed to wait a bit more for the last plate! Not even i am sorry from our waitress. As a waitress my self! I was disappointed all around! Service atmosphere!

Great food! Our server Joel and the other male waiter (forgot his name) were so attentive and made our first time there a great experience. We were a big party and although we had different needs and tabs everything went well and we had no problems with our service. Definitely will recommend
