Nice small restaurant in a small street mall next to I70 on Youngsfield.

Amazing, home cooked Cuban food, that was served piping hot with authentic sides, and an amazing Mojo sauce that was garlicky goodness in a tub. My husband had the Ropa Vieja, which he found savory and saucy with tender vegetable and meat, and the black rice, which was combination of rice and black beans, was perfect. My son had the “Pork Crunch Fried” which was actually chunks of the slow roasted pork deep fried to have a crisp crust. I had the Midnight Sandwich with tender egg bread for many of the same innards as the Cuban Sandwich and it was pressed and toasted to perfection. My side was sweet plantains, which I was used to from Puerto Rico and they were tender, crisp, and hot. My husband and son got the Fried Yucca and it was *amazing*, buttery, crisp and served with that amazing Mojo sauce.

Wed 8/23/23: Youngish couple running the place tonight. Food is still wonderful as is service. The atmosphere has definitely been enhanced. Very pleasant, comfortable sitting inside given the heat outside and eating/talking. Hope we didn’t stay too long. Will return. Can’t wait for cold weather to have the Chicken Rice Cuban Soup again!

We had the Cuban sandwich and fried pork with rice and fried yucca (pictured). The flavors were exquisite!

This is a gem of a restaurant and I cannot wait to go back for more of the yummy flavors. I met up with a colleague and we had an excellent meal, so much so that I brought a few things home for later and for my wife including the flan which is dynamite delicious. A lot of Colorado restaurants end up being bland but not this one, the pork chops were phenomenal and it ended up making the car smell pretty strong from the onions and garlic but I’ll take that any day of the week over bland food.

Wonderful spot! Service by the family that owns it is super friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich in the state. We were lucky enough to get the last serving of oxtails that were amazingly flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender. (Daily specials will sell out.) Also tried the pork chunks that were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender in the middle. The sides are good enough to stand on their own. Gotta get the sweet plantains (caramelized on the outside), mixed black beans & rice and the yucca with mojo. All this left us wondering, why aren’t they more Cuban restaurants in Colorado?

I wish I knew about this place sooner! The coffee was super strong but tasted amazing to where I might be returning JUST for coffee if I’m not hungry. They have a large array of juices and I tried the soursop which was the perfect sweetness and consistency. Empanadas were flakey and crunchy and so flavorful. Sweet plantains were fried to perfection. The spicy and non spicy sauces were some of the best sauces I’ve ever had. The steak sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was flakey and crunchy but not dry and soft at the same time, the meat was seasoned and cooked so well. Everything here was a 10/10 and I will be returning and telling multiple people about this place!

Nice small Cuban restaurant. The Cuban sandwich and papa rellena were alright. The service was great. But what I was really craving was some croquetas. Well, if you go there, don’t get the croquetas. The ham croquetas were prob a few days old and hard as brick. Flavor was so so. The cheese croquetas were basically a typical American cheese stick. Not at all like Cuban cheese croquetas. Not even close. Definitely a disappointment in those. Overall was ok. Not sure if we’ll go back as it’s kinda far and just ok. But def never getting croquetas there again.

I never write reviews but I just had to write today! The $14.55 Cuban sandwich was mushy, burnt and had no Swiss cheese or any cheese one small slice of ham. I order the $14 tostones nachos they came w 4 tostones and a 1/3 cup of ground beef the smallest 3 pieces of avocado and a tablespoon of cream. I ordered the $17 pork crunches fried w a side of amarillos and yucca fries I received the smallest 3 pieces of amarillos 10 yucca fries and 10 small pieces of pork! The guava pastries were ok large but lacked filling. The stuffed yucca also lacked filling. I ordered to go and didn’t see any of this until I got home. I try to frequent small restaurants but this was too much! Prices high with meals that are horrible! I spent $66 and couldn’t feed 3 people!
