I came here with my family, it was our first time, we were just visiting the dells, we had an awesome server. He had awesome service, however we waited a really long time for our food. Two other tables were seated and got their food while we were still waiting. The food was good, and the server was awesome! But that wait for the food just was not worth it.

My husband and i had a great experience here for his birthday. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we came in the restaurant. The staff was amazing and treated us like family. And made sure that my husband celebrated his birthday with all the trimmings. The food was amazing. Portions was huge and very flavorful. Even the owner came over to have a birthday shot and took pictures with my husband. This will be a must stop everytime we are in the dells. Thanks so much for everything to the staff at El Asador.

Despite Google saying they open at 11am they actually open at noon. Being Mexican myself I can say that the food and atmosphere was really great! Our server was more on the reserved side but she was very nice, polite, and efficient. We communicated in English but she tried out Spanish when checking up on us so I appreciated that.

Got seated and server came by to take drinks which were 2 water and a coke and came back few minutes later said the bartender is making your drinks, and will bring them out in a few minutes which were 5 mins, what’s so hard about pouring ice and water into a glass anyways, then took good order and parts of our food were ok but the rice and beans were so bland, no flavor no salt and never offered refills on my soda.. the slogan on the walls says the flavor that reminds you of Mexico, maybe New Mexico, US but definitely not Mexico flavor

Went with the family, thinking that a Mexican Restaurant can never be too bad. Were we wrong! I would never recommend this restaurant to any one. The food was oily and tasteless, not worth what we paid. The server was nice, but forgot a drink and the wait for the food was long, given that there were hardly any people in the restaurant. For the price, we would have been better going somewhere else. Even a fast food restaurant would have been better!

El Asador was a great experience for me and my wife. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was near closing so not too busy, we were seated immediately. The food was served soon after ordering. The complimentary chips and salsa were great while we waited.

If you want good Mexican food this is the place to go! The service was great, especially when the owner came out to our table to greet us and hand out the menus. I have to brag about the food! It was on point, the temperature of the food was a thumbs up and the appearance made out mouth water. If you ask for hot sauce they bring out two different kinds and they are hot! We will definitely be back!!

I’m glad we didn’t read the reviews on here before stopping in. We were there around 7 on Friday evening. We were looking for a new place to try and we saw this place as we drove down the street. We were very happy with it. Warm, friendly and attentive service, food took a reasonable time to come out and we spent $40 for the two of us, which I feel is reasonable. The chips and salsa they first brought out were good (not the “water with a little spice” someone else stated). The two home-made salsas they brought out with our food were really good, too. We were very happy with our visit.

Very happy! Food was awesome! Drinks were great! Unfortunately did not catch our waitress’s name but she was great, took time to explain everything, offered suggestions and did whatever she could to make sure we were happy. First time to Dells and we will definitely be coming back to El Asador!
