Very good lunch. Great tasting and fresh. Restaurant was very clean. The staff was welcoming and polite. The server visited our table several times to refill drinks and make sure the lunch was to our liking.

Fantastic food. The ingredients are fresh and you can tell. Everything I have tried here was very tasty. They have many of the more traditional Mexican dishes that you don’t find at other Mexican restaurants. Decent selection of imported beers and one of the best Tequila destinations in the area. I highly recommend El Alegre if you are a fan of Mexican food.

Got the tacos, and enchiladas, they were awesome. The chips and salsa were really good as well.

One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have had. My carne asada was not that good. The beef was touch and flavorless. I didn’t finish the whole thing. Fajita was alright but very pricey for the portion. I wasn’t also impressed with the customer service. The waiter was rude and has little empathy. He spoke very fast and when I expressed that I didn’t understand, he didn’t bother to slow down or help explain. He made a lot of assumptions. We asked him a question and he made us feel stupid for not knowing. He served some chips and salsa and asked if we wanted guacamole to go with it. So we asked if it cost extra for guacamole. And he scoffed and said of course, we’re not giving things out for free. Didn’t feel comfortable the whole time and felt looked down upon for not knowing things. First and last time…

This place has amazingly delicious and authentic Mexican foods and the presentation of their dishes is equally as impressive! The vegetables were very fresh and they’re is an impressive array of vegetarian meals available. I am very cautious of Mexican restaurants because I have an allergy to peppers (not the spice). The server was very attentive and assured me there would be no peppers in my food and he absolutely did make sure. I was there at lunchtime and the food came very quickly. Highly recommend!

Service was incredible and the food was even better. We were seated promptly, despite it being extremely busy on a Friday night and the staff were all extremely friendly and attentive despite having a lot to deal with.

Every part of our experience was on point. A friendly welcome was followed by crispy chips and fresh, smoky, perfectly spiced salsa. The Alegre Margarita was possibly the best I’ve ever had. I had the huaraches with pastor and loved everything about it. My husband was thrilled with his chorizo and pastor gorditas. Can’t wait to be back in the area to stop in again.

Food was good and service was quick. Server made sure everything was good and that we had everything we needed but later that night both me and my father got food poisoning, I was forced to sit on the floor of my bathroom for over half an hour needing to throw up and barely able to do much then sit and wait even the next day after I went to sleep with a trash bag by my side in case I woke up and needed to throw I still felt nauseous.
