They’ve been around forever, and really, nothing has changed. I’m talking 40 or more years! The food is the same, too. Good old-fashioned Chinese food. Except I didn’t remember that the chow mein was made with fat noodles, which I don’t care for. But the house fried rice , the sweet and sour pork and the egg rolls were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

Came here because of a review I saw. The lady that was taking the orders was very rude to her customers, even yelling at them. The food wasn’t great either. The noodles were dry, and the fried prawns were cold. The fried rice lacked soy sauce. I ordered shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein between the two. I only had four shrimp. I will not advise anyone to eat here. Poor customer service and poor food quality.

When I get that feeling I need egg roll healing!!!!!!!The egg roll kitchen on Bancroft in east Oakland is my favorite place to get dry fried ribs so dry fried ribs is basically a slab of pork spareribs cut in pieces and deep fried and they are delicious you should definitely try them if you never had it oh and be prepared for a wait they will not be in a hurry and it’s always been that way with that said I still love this place.

I’ve been going to egg roll kitchen for a long time and I still enjoy the dried fried ribs. That is my go to when ever I’m in that part of Oakland and I have time to stop. Which is every 3 months. But I think they should consider adding a few more shrimps to the fried rice in the combos.

This used to be one of my favorite spots. This experience was not so great. The dry fried ribs tasted old and the fried had way too many green onions. The fried prawns were cold even though I waited for close to hour for my order. Won’t be visiting again any time soon.
