UM WHAT!? WOW WOW WOW. I’m traveling from Texas to visit family and we stumbled upon this place and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY. First of all, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered our food (the caramel apple pecan pancakes and the country fried steak breakfast) and I kid you not, we had the food delivered to our table within like 6 minutes tops and it was HOT! Picture worthy, absolutely delicious, and plenty to share or take home for leftovers! The waiters came to our table several times to offer refills and clean up and they were so sweet. If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would because they deserve it! Only breakfast place I’m recommending to people visiting Chicago!

Food is just alright, could find similar nearby with better pricing. Seems a bit high. Service was alright, server didn’t seem engaged. Good atmosphere, nice building and location. Overall it’s just okay, would not be the first choice breakfast spot despite being the closest.

My boyfriend and I always like to try new breakfast places and most of the time we’re disappointed. This place was able to please us both! Portion size was great, service was attentive, food presentation was gorgeous and most of all it was delicious. We will be back for sure! Picture below is the crazy monkey waffle.

I had the Stuffed French Toast with Strawberries. It was excellent!!!! Lots of cream, strawberries and strawberry sauce. Three good size pieces of French toast. The best part was that they even cut the French toast in half as the stack it. Loved that part. The Egg House was clean and inviting. The staff moved like a well oiled machine!! Everyone was polite and courteous! I highly recommend The Egg House. I will definitely be back!

The first thing I noted about the egg house was how fast our food came to us. It didn’t look stopped together or anything, it just came out so quick. The place was nearly at capacity, So I assume this is business per usual. The food was really solid as was the service. I had the Mexican skillet and it was pretty awesome. The homemade salsa was a nice touch.
