Located in a quaint neighborhood, one block from Saint Nicholas Catholic Church , which was built in 1864 , this was our second time of dining in this newly refurbished established tavern/restaurant. (historically, the Old Roesch Hotel).

This place is a hidden gem in egg harbor city, I recently saw this places food and specials advertised and decided to go and try it out! So happy that we did! Everything was so good! The presentation of the food was great, the taste was amazing and fresh, I couldnt stop saying how good the food was through the whole meal! The picture I added is of the HOME MADE Pierogies appetizer. We can not wait to go back. Next weekend is there 1 year anniversary party and we are going to make it! Very excited to have found another great restaurant in this area.

Excellent German food and atmosphere! Our group had various menu items, such as veal and chicken schnitzel, Bavarian pretzel with various mustards, and wurst with cheese appetizers, etc. Plus desserts and coffee. Everything was wunderbar! The wait staff was attentive without being obtrusive, and the owner stopped by to see how we all were doing. Some of our group has now been there several times, and each visit has been deliciously good!

We had a party of 20 family, that met for Sunday dinner. We are of German heritage and have heard the great reviews and wanted to support this business. We love German food. They reserved a room for us. The service was impecable. Just about everything on the menu was ordered. It was all great. No complaints from anyone. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.

A real Gem!! Unique bar in a residential area, easy to miss. An intimate, quiet, local atmosphere with charm. Good selection of German beer on tap. Limited menu of German cuisine but all food items are fresh and great quality for price. Dark heavy craftsman wood decor, cukoo clock on wall. A few screens for the sports games. Weekly specials and live music. Owner is always around and up for spinning the local folklore yarn.

Neighborhood bar/pub. Quaint ambiance, good beer selection, limited menu options since they just opened. Foos was excellent- The pretzel was wonderful, the chicken schnitzel was great – the lemon sauce was perfectly subtle. Spaetzle, red cabbage, and German potato salad rounded out the meal. We shared one platter , and there was still food leftover!
