We’ve been going here since they originally opened in the other location and we’re very pleased they made it through Covid. I noticed some negative reviews and it seems odd to me that anyone could have a problem with this place. I’ll grant that it’s small so it can sometimes be difficult to be seated but I’ve always found the service and food to be exceptional. I’ve had sushi all over including Japan and their rendition is up there with any. Always fresh and delicious. If you had a bad experience give them another try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised unless you’re not accustomed to Japanese cuisine but they do it really well.

Simply the best!! I’ve been going here for years, and even though the new location is a bit smaller, the food, cozy atmosphere, and especially the hospitality remains wonderful.

Amazing authentic Japanese food took me back to my time in Japan, the atmosphere reminded me so much of Japan right down to the bowls and plates used. Not over priced at all for such a true exotic experience. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

They ignore the phone so don’t call. Food is reliably good! But the lady working there when we went in ignored the phone for 10 minutes (not an exaggeration), also acted like she was super busy not only had 2 tables. Understaffed possibly? Not sure. Again food is good

All around disappointed. We tried to order ahead and got a broken phone line. Called 4 times to no avail. Decided to go ahead and order takeout from inside thinking it would be more fresh.

Really authentic food, the owner is super sweet and thoughtful. I’m a big eater and she wanted to make sure l didn’t get too much food and waste it, which was so thoughtful. The food was really authentic and tasted amazing. I was actually blown away by the flavors of everything, the outside of the building is so unassuming and simple, but waking in feels like you’ve entered a nice small izakaya. OISHI!!!!

We walked out before sitting down. I understand some of the best food can be found at a “hole in the wall” restaurant, but this place looked and smelled dirty.

Quaint Japanese restaurant located behind Sherlock’s in the Kroger shopping center. We ordered calamari, tempura appetizer, and 3 sushi rolls. All the food was delicious.

Ask around for authentic sushi and you’ll hear this name again and again. This tiny neighborhood gem is open for dining after COVID. The fish is well-cut and fresh, the rice well-seasoned, and the sushi well assembled. Customer service and ambience is friendly and comfortable. Note that they don’t serve all the “special rolls” that a lot of places do – simple rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. They do have a generous and varied menu of appetizers, small plates, and entrees that range from salmon to squid and cooked in authentically Japanese fashion. Enjoy!!
