Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.

Great subs and delicious drinks! You can go for both and add fries or just the drinks and add your own choice of alcoholic beverage to enhance the flavor to your liking! Seriously though the subs are tasty and a step or two above the competition and worth getting. Also best to order something different each time you visit because just like the many flavors of drinks, they offer many choices for subs that are all just as delicious!

We have been wanting to eat here since we found out they opened. We used to eat at the ones in Tucdon and we crave them! We happened to be close to this one so we stopped and believe me were not disappointed. The service was great, the place was spotless, and the place felt very comfortable. The food was amazing, just like we remember. They offer 3 sizes of sandwiches, 3 in, 6 in and 12 in. The prices were so affordable. I had the 6 inch Italian Grinder and my husband had a 12 inch pastrami. We will be going back often!

I went the grand opening. There busy, but everyone had a smile on their face. I did ask for the house dressing on the side for my sandwiches since I live an hour away and they put the sauce on the sandwiches and now they are soggy. Everything else was good with my order. The watermelon eegee is delicious!

Good sandwiches, but man, this place is the slowest. If there’s more than one car in the drive-thru, I hope you have a full tank of gas and a coloring book. Even as the only car in the drive-thru, you wait 5+ minutes. I’ve sat there for 15 minutes with 1 car in front of me. It’s bad enough that we’ve basically stopped coming here.

First time here, tried the deluxe grinder and the pastrami. Both sandwiches were actually really good. They tasted fresh which was a pleasant surprise unlike other sandwich shops. Food is always good but the service was lacking. Employees were all on their phones when we entered and continues to chit chat and play with each other instead of greeting us and the other customers who came in. After about a minute of them playing and walking by all of us, one employee reluctantly took our orders.
