Ed’s Diner used to serve diner food, but now they have switched to Korean style. Although I will miss their breakfast, in my opinion, I think it’s a good move, since there are already a couple of other diner-style places in the downtown area, and not a lot of Korean. I tried their bulgogi bowl today, and it was pretty good. Reminds me of Filipino bistek. Comes with a salad and a small container of pickled veggies.

This place has all the elements of a good old fashioned American diner. There is a bar that is right next to the kitchen so you can see your food being made in real time. The coffee is bottemless, the service is fast and the good food is quite tasty. I reccomend the country style corn beef hash!

Great teeny diner with fast, friendly service, plentiful coffee and hearty servings. Very clean and the food is always fresh. I come during lunch break from Sunday wine classes at the SF Wine School & it’s always a treat.

Great food, quick service! Don’t let the small restaurant turn you down, they sat us right when we walked in and got our food to us within 10 minutes of ordering. Great home style cooking! Definitely a hidden gem.

I came to Ed’s Diner for breakfast and was treated to a really good one! I had the “Popeye omelette” with grits instead of home fries or hash browns. It was everything I wanted and more. I left there stuffed to the gills. The price wasn’t bad for downtown San Francisco. If you’re looking for decor–this ain’t the place. But if what you want is good food at a good price, then I highly recommend Ed’s.

A well-run diner that’s popular with early risers in the South San Francisco community, right along Grand Avenue. Prices are quite reasonable for the Bay Area, and the quality of the food is good. Service is pretty good too. Overall, it’s a great run-of-the-mill diner, which is not a run-of-the-mill thing to find in the Bay Area. 🙂 Will be returning there soon.

All the food we had was delicious. The waitress was super nice, kept refilling our coffee and water and kept asking how we were doing. Great food and service will make me come back when I’m in town.
