Great gastronomic experience that’s unlike anything in Texas. The experience takes you to the kitchens in Europe that focus on gastronomy. Ingredients are sourced from France and elsewhere and the flavors really standout and explode. Just a fun experience with great food that’s worth making the trip to

Thoroughly impressed! The most unique dining experience I have ever had. We went for my husband’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The food is epic, indescribable, amazing, we can’t wait to go back! Chef and his staff were friendly, delivered top notch service, and described each dish and wine pairing perfectly. Really one of the coolest things we have done!

Truly one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve ever had. The preparation was very unique and did not skip on taste. The wine pairing was perfect and the presentation and service was excellent! I would definitely recommend for any special occasion especially for a group.

eculent is a great food experience. The chef and team were very engaging and every dish had a tremendous creative flair. Very grateful that Chef David Skinner created vegetarian options for us in this innovative 30 course tasting menu.

Eculent is a culinary adventure! We had the best experience. Chef Skinner explains each course and advises on how to enjoy each bite. My mind was blown. A ball filled with onion soup, hot mushroom consommé with a tiny bit of dry ice for smoke effect that you drink through a pipe, a cherry tomato made to taste just like a BLT sandwich and on and on and on. 20-30 courses!!! Like, what in the Willy Wonka factory is going on?!? If you’re ever in Kemah, please, please try this place. I had to book a month in advance but it was so worth the wait. It was 3 hours of awe. Truly.

Best dining experience of our life! David does an amazing job with the flavors, the presentation, the stories behind the food, and all out surprises. Every bite has you wanting more!

The new set up is beautiful. The new menu has some low points. Some of the best items on the menu are also on the old one. The new mousse- delicious but NOONE knew how to eat it. The lobster and pasta…brilliant. David not being there is a big miss. It felt rushed and uninformed. The dishes weren’t described well/best ways to eat them. Something was “off”. Lose the fried chicken in the picnic course. The books at the end were fun! It used to be “it looks like one thing but tastes like another.” This time it was more straightforward and not nearly as great an experience (having been there several times).

Extremely interesting dinner. Very cool dishes but not sure I would go again. 24 bite size courses $350/head plus tip which i think is important to know before you go. Do not go if you are a picky eater this place certainly goes beyond bounds of normal eatery. Some bites are very amazing while a couple were okay, but most were above average and not to my typical taste. I enjoyed the food presented in ways I had never seen and even trying things I normally would not. Chef and staff were excellent, I don’t regret it but put the cost out there so no one else is caught off guard. Oh and the lights change with every meal…all of which are horrible for selfies!

Gear up your senses for a culinary journey unlike any other. The sights, sounds, smells, and especially tastes of every morsel tops off a Chef guided tour of the imagination. Great attention to detail and even offered a personalized experience for my wife who cannot eat pork. We can’t wait to go back, only next time we’re going to figure out how to sneak out some of the bread!

I truly am shocked to read reviews that don’t give this place a 5 star rating. It was incredible. The entire experience was something I’ve never experienced and was truly one of a kind. The lights changed with courses, the service was impeccable, the food was unique and had a story to each bite and overall it was just a wonderful night. Been waiting years to do this and it was WELL worth the wait!
