Best loco moco I’ve had in Hawaii. Great bang for your buck. They had a sign up apologizing for price increases, but I felt the prices were still very reasonable. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Photo is of the mini set and it’s still a lot of food!

Great little family owned shop. Food has a great home cooked feel and portions are generous. Support your local shops!

Amazing pork loco moco. The pork was super tender and the gravy had amazing flavor. The food was affordable, served quickly, and good portion size. The employees were personable and very smiley.

Closed. Board over front door. Hope they’re ok and that they’re open again soon. Gave 5 stars but I have never eaten here.

This place is great! The people were nice and helpful in selecting food that we would like. The food was amazing and reasonably priced for the area and economy. There isn’t seating inside, but the outdoor tables are shaded and very comfortable.

Phenomenal local shop, amazing breakfast burrito! Most surprising was the fried rice, it was the best I’ve had, no doubt. Highly recommend!

So glad we found this spot! Such friendly people and the food was fabulous! We ordered the katsu, pulled pork loco moco and the ahi tuna plate. I’ve never had macaroni with peas in it but LOVED IT! Highly recommend this spot for a plate lunch that won’t disappoint!

Great food. We had the blackened ono and seared ono with mac salad and rice. It was seasoned really well and cooked perfectly. Great people too! Sorry no picture, we ate it too fast!

Eating Local is an excellent, small, family owned business located in west Maui. What they lack for in flair and appearance is easily made up for by the delicious traditional Hawaiian meals. The breakfast, chicken katsu, and loco moco were excellent and quickly served. The mom and pop shop also served the meals in a nicely packaged bag with plenty of sauces, utensils, and napkins. If you are in west Maui then try this restaurant.

The food we ate here was amazing! Their fish is super fresh, we literally saw someone carrying a giant mahi mahi into the restaurant for the day’s meals while we were there. It’s a hidden gem. Totally recommend
