In Memphis and found this bar/pub so went for dinner. Walked in and they told you to seat yourself, they weren’t very busy at 8pm. Got the menu and ordered pretzels with beer cheese and buffalo quesadillas. Both were hot and fresh and delicious. Would go back again, and I have to ask what the service charge was on my receipt.

My first time here. I ordered red beans and rice, which was more like beans and cornbread which a side of rice if that makes sense, but either way it was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The beans were seasoned to perfection, a little spicy, but that’s how I like it. The two slivers of charred sausage were a nice addition, but these beans were so good, they didn’t even need added protein. A big portion, for $16 and change. The hunk of cornbread was huge, and just sweet enough. I ordered an extra piece but the one would’ve been fine. Now I wanna try other things from the menu! I’d already dug in before I took the photo, but this was totally 10/10 meal.

Ok, so we have been working in this area for 7 weeks and have been to many places for lunch. We will both say though for sure this is the place we enjoy the very most. We have been here several times and never had a bad server, bad food or anything unfavorable at all! The staff is friendly the fun is diverse and fun the atmosphere is welcoming. It is a destination I wish were closer to home, though we were so happy it was close to where we have been all these weeks. We thank East End for all the yummy belly fulls of goodness! We hop to see ya soon….

Some friends and I went to East End for dinner and we had one of the worst dining experiences imaginable. The food that managed to make it to our table ranged from fair (red beans and rice) to horrible (seared Ahi tuna) and none of it was worth the price. Add to that East End has the audacity to automatically add 18% gratuity on food AND on drinks whether you dine in or take out which is outrageous. We ordered drinks and one of them was horrific so we asked the waitress to bring something else instead and she stated they would not replace it. I asked for the manager who seemed annoyed that he was summoned for such a trivial matter and he flatly refused to replace the drink as well. (His name was Jamie.) And for the coup de grace, one person never got her meal because the waitress completely forgot to place the order and then had the nerve to say it would be right out when it had not even been given to the kitchen. (The restaurant was virtually empty so it was not like the waitress was under a lot of pressure.) The next time we are in the area, we’ll go to the Half Shell which is near East End. They have better food, better prices, better wait staff and much better (and smarter) managers. We were going to go there but decided to try something different. Big mistake that will never happen again to any of us.

So me and my wife are new to the area, saw this place wasn’t as busy as most on Father’s day. After our meal, we understood why. Seems like regulars were #1 priority as far as drinks. What we ordered came out completely different as described, and super salty. Add in the 18% gratuity to your check, definately didn’t deserve additional, wont be going back.

1st and last time for sure. I had a takeout order and they upcharged me for “service charge” and for the carry out box?? That’s absolutely crazy. Ending up paying $20 for a $10 burger. Not worth it just go someplace else!
