Great food and so many options to choose from! Their iced coffee is amazing and perfectly sweet. Lots of savory and sweet options to order, from various pancakes to different Benedict’s and breakfast classics.

It was our fist time eating here. I will say we are not coming back. 1 hour and 15 min to be seated , then waited 30 min at my table and no one would even take our drinks not even a hi , it’ll be a min . Nothing. Then ordered French toast … and got regular toast not French toast ? Just bread toasted in a toaster … with fruit on top? And also they kept bringing me things I didn’t order to my table … that some how ended up on my bill? I’m glad I looked over the bill… had them remove a couple things off my bill. Unbelievable.

Received a dirty glass with floaties asked for a clean one and got another glass that was dirty in a different spot.

Unfortunately, I was unimpressed. They were somewhat busy, but they sat us down quickly upon arrival. Then, we had to wait 16 minutes for our orders to be taken, then 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Finally, after another 20 minutes, we had to flag the waitstaff for our bill twice. The food was okay. They had all the classics and some nice twists on traditional American breakfast items. Most everything we ate was very heavy, cheesy, with bacon, sour cream, and salty.

Cute place, but our glasses went empty and we had to flag our waitress down for a check. If you don’t mind waiting, the food is alright. My husband’s eggs Benedict was good, but I had the French toast and it was soggy bread, not a little crisp like you’d expect.

We’ve gone a handful of times now, and it never disappoints! It is always busy on the weekends, so it can be loud. They’ve always been quick to take our orders though, and the food comes quickly I think. I’ve done sweeter items like their PB&J French toast (yum!), and I recently tried the carnitas eggs Benedict (also yum!). It’s become our go to local brunch spot. You can join the waitlist online, which I recommend!

Such a shame that this place isn’t as good as it once was. My boyfriend and I went here a lot at the beginning of the year. The food was delicious at the time, one of our favorite places we have tried since moving to Iowa. Since then, they’ve had a major menu change. I came on a weekday, normally we would go on the weekend, and got the pb&j pancakes. The pancakes were extremely dense, had absolutely no flavor, and also had green/black pieces in the peanut butter. They almost tasted underdone and like there was just something wrong with the batter. I was shocked at how bad these wore consudering weve normally had such delicious food here. Since then, I have called several times and reached out on Instagram and Facebook. I’ve gotten no respond from anyone. These pancakes were too expensive for me to not even be able to eat them.

There is a saying at the front door, “The early bird gets the pancake.” Very eclectic! Considering the high cost of eggs—it’s great to support local businesses especially when the food is eye popping delicious. I ordered the Hash Holes which are croquettes filled with that cheesy Gouda goodness and Bacon. My entree was “ Meat Head Benny” a Hollandaise smothered in grilled steak, onions, and thick bacon which was a home room. The dishes were all eye appealing and well flavored. Need a “brunch” try this place —it will be a real eggy treat!

8:30 AM was just early enough to find a seat on a rainy Friday morning, and we were glad we did. What other restaurant offers appetizers for breakfast? Try the “Hash-holes.” It’s not a donut hole but it looks like one. My “Bird’s the Word” breakfast sandwich was outstanding, and the side of hash browns exceptional! Try the #16 if you feel like scrumptious pancakes. SUCH a big menu we WILL return….. but come early! UPDATE: We WERE the early bird today (Saturday) but the place was FULL by 8:30. The El Gordo Morning burrito is huge and delicious! Server Angela was delightful. Now who can I bring here next time….?

Not sure how this place doesn’t have a solid 5.0 breakfast. With all the niche breakfast spots this really hits the ball put of the park. The ability to get on the wait-list before leaving downtown is a blessing via yelp. We got seated 5 min before our projected time. They still managed to accommodate a group of 15 high school students. Our group of 4 had an array of entrees and the one thing they should be commended on the most is their beautiful fruit bowls. Not what you would get from a 24 hour spot but actual good fruit! Bloody Marys were great and the staff was responsive despite being busy as heck. Parking isn’t a worry as their is a gigantic lot. Definitely a place I’d put in the rotation for breakfast
