Had a great meal here. The servers are super friendly. Definitely had a small town vibe which was very enjoyable. The place was packed and it took a little bit to get our food but the price is great and the quality also great. If you are passing by Baker City I highly recommend! They had a video lottery setup around the corner inside and clean bathrooms. Outdoor patio is pretty well shaded and enjoyable on a nice day.

The place doesn’t look like much from the street, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you dine here. I walked in fatigued from hours of riding in the pickup and with was greeted quickly by the cheerful server Angie who asked me if I was OK. When I said I could use a fun drink, she recommended the refreshing Huckleberry Lemonade and she had it at my table just after I sat down. It was a pleasant surprise to have a server who loves what they do, and loves where they work. And their food was even better than a lot of high-end restaurants in the Seattle area that cost much more. I had the Bourbon Ribs and he had the Tequila Like Chicken – the ribs fell off the bone and were coated with an ample amount of a slightly sweet bourbon sauce over a rub that had a hint of heat to it, and they were some of the best ribs I’ve had in a very long time. His chicken was tender with a delicious slightly tangy creamy lime sauce. I would have never thought of stopping for dinner in Baker City on our way to the Boise area, but we’ll definitely stop here again.

Delicious food, incredibly attentive and friendly service, a must visit if driving through. The burger was tasty and filling, but those onion rings were to die for! We also ordered the soup of the day which was made from scratch and yummy.

Facility I would guess is an old Pizza Hut. Very attractive inside – clean and well kept up. Outside seating. Breakfast served from 7:00 till 2:00. Pancakes and scones only served till 11:00. Coffee $2.50. Dinner menu current as of 2023. Dinner prices have increased over the past 2 years. Had the brisket burger that was very good. My wife had the pasta special that was also very good. Parking lot somewhat on the small size. Staff cordial and friendly. Bathrooms large and brite – HC Acessible.

This restaurant was so good we stopped here twice..once traveling into Portland from Michigan.. stopped for lunch and grabbed a couple of burgers..the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger was delicious..just the right amount of blue cheese and bacon plus a lot of tots to go with! We stopped again for dinner on our way to back to Ohio…we both ordered Ribeyes and they were also very yummy..Steak only has salt and pepper like the menu states which I can appreciate..great tasting and cooked perfectly. Sweet potato, steamed broccoli and side salad were also delish. Will definitely return when passing through again.

If you’re driving through Baker, Oregon and looking for a good meal, consider checking out Eagle Cap Grill, a family owned restaurant that is a local favorite. It’s a little off the main drag, so I didn’t know it existed until I googled restaurants in Baker and it came up as an option. The night I visited, the restaurant was pretty busy including several large groups who seemed to be celebrating special occasions. Even so, my service was excellent and I didn’t have too long of a wait for my food. I ordered a classic half pound cheeseburger with french fries. It was excellent! I like that this restaurant makes a point to serve high quality beef. I’ll be back!

Truly a delight! I had the Sockeye salmon, hubby had the halibut. Loved the green beans with the aioli. Would highly recommend this restaurant ♥️

Love this place and hope it stays the way it is forever. 🙂 Recently had a perfect medium-rare top sirloin (in my experience, even fine dining places don’t always cook a steak to real medium-rare, often it is rare). The veggies tasted truly home-cooked and reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. Service friendly and all-around awesome.

I dig local small town restaurants, this one hit the matk for me. We were in town doing an interview and took up space for a couple hours during lunch , the made us feel at home and didn’t rush us. Food was great, quality was above expectations, Service was outstanding, super friendly and checked in offen. Darn good fried pickles!!!

We had an excellent waitress named Chelsea ; she was personable, quick and attentive. I had chicken Alfredo with homemade sauce, lots a tender and flavorful chicken, and lots of real parmesan. The salad was very fresh and everything was tasty and made with quality ingredients. ❤️
