Best home like cooking ever. Have to take a piece of pie or coffee cake to go! Salad bar is fresh and they have a daily special. Service is out of this world. I’m almost 60 yrs old and this restaurant has been in business since l was a little girl,if not before. Must try!

The service was great, very friendly and helpful staff. I can tell you the catfish dinner, butterfly shrimp dinner and the fried chicken special were all very delicious and when you add a piece of pie… it tops off the meal wonderfully. The walls are covered with pictures and sayings that can be bought.

It’s been 2 years since last coming here due to COVID. Back then, I was pleasantly surprised about their food and overall service. When we came back for my birthday, it was just as great as it was last time:. The friendly staff, the taste of the food, and the atmosphere. Anyone who likes “From-Scratch” restaurants should give this place a try, whether it be for their food or at the very least, their adorable gift shop.

Almost 2 years ago, my husband and I were driving from Kansas City, MO to Phoenix, AZ. A few hours into the drive I was absolutely starving and so we decided to stop here. The people were really sweet and helpful but the absolute best part of that dinner was the pecan pie. When I tell you this pie was the most delicious, artery clogging pie, I have ever had in my entire life I am not lying. I enjoyed it so much I ate 2 pieces there and took a third for the road and 2 years later I am still thinking about it. I am counting the days until I can come back and eat that pie again!

It is not like it use to be. At noon the place was empty. I ordered CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, apparently they did not know how to prepare it. A n d Pumkin pie was terrible. Not going back.

Haven’t been here in 15 years. Was the same great place it has always been. Fried Mush and sausage gravy. Delicious!

Good food. Attentive staff. Love the family style meal! 16.99 for all you can eat chicken ham potato’s corn green beans and pie! Negatives are no one wore a mask! Also the carpets could use a deep clean. Bathroom door sticks but bathroom is nice.
