This place is is pretty standard fare Chinese carry out in a drab restaurant. Nothing special. HOWEVER, their homemade dumplings are to die for!!! I loved them. There is a reason it is the dumpling house. If you find yourself in this part of PA, it is definitely worth a stop in even if it is just for the dumplings.

By far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. I have never had this good of fried rice or wanton soup anywhere. With free tea and an appetizer, good prices and terrific service this is my favorite restaurant anywhere. The experience here just gets better as they get to know you. Gary is a good man and takes pride in having excellent food.

Dumplings did not disappoint. 10/10. Possibly the best dumplings I’ve ever had. Rest of the food was good too, but the dumplings were the highlight. And you can get a crazy amount of food for the price! We made several meals out of our order.

This restaurant is a joy to dine in. I just love the atmosphere and the staff. It is fun sitting there enjoying the fried noodles with the dipping sauce while having a pot of hot tea that is offered to each table. When your entree arrives, I know it is going to be tasty. I have never been disappointed in the many years of going there.

Out of our vegetable fried rice, fried pork dumplings, fried shrimp appetizer, fresh fried scallops, a can of Pepsi and two fortune cookies, the best thing was the Pepsi. The shrimp and scallops were far from fresh; previously frozen and battered and breaded – the kind that you would purchase in bulk in a plastic bag. They were rubbery and tasteless. Not to mention the scallops were perfectly round discs of imitation crab meat. In spite of being soggy and bland, the dumplings were edible. The rice was bland both dry and soggy, with undercooked veggies. Even the soy sauce and duck sauce packets were tasteless. The fortune cookies give Dollar store advice, and must know that they aren’t good enough because you can go to secondfortune.com and get another Fortune. We are not professional foodies, we were just really hungry passersby. This place makes McDonald’s look like a four-star restaurant. Now I’m off to spend another $20 in hopes of satisfying my hunger. At least I’m not thirsty anymore thanks to the can of Pepsi. That bird has grass

After some car trouble on the way up to Wellsboro, we arrived later than expected on a Friday evening (~9PM). This was one of the only places still open for dinner on Main St., so we thought we’d check it out.

Years ago they had good food and good service. Now they either don’t have the fryer hot enough, so your egg rolls are full of grease. And when you ask them not cook the already PRECOOKED chicken in Gen Tso less time and you tell them why, they ignore you at least the young asian girl up front or if you express shock at amount of time but say ok. and then hang up because your conversation is done. She just doesn’t place your order, thinks you don’t want it. They need to do better training of staff. Front and back.

My top spot for Chinese food. Everyone at our table was quite pleased. Service is typically good. This place has an awesome atmosphere. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
