Love Eva last
Honestly some of u guys are exaggerating in the reviews. The bun bo Huế isn’t even that bad, it’s just a bit bland but it tastes like your regular bun bo hue.

I’m pretty adventuresome when it comes to new food. This was nothing short of surprising and outstanding. Walking into this small cafe, one is expecting an Asian fast food sort of place. When I sat down, the server came and greeted me, and asked if I wanted a large or a small. Wow, that is simple. A large or small what? The sell bun bo hue. Hmmm…. must have something to do with the name of the restaurant! Seriously, this is a popular soup in Vietnam, but not quite as well known as Pho. So, I was pleasantly surprised to get a nice platter of cabbage and bean sprouts to dump into the soup. The soup is somewhat spicier than Pho. It had some mystery meats (beef?) and sausage like material (chicken? fish??). All delicious. The table has the requisite chopsticks and soup ladel (like Pho). What does it taste like? You will have to go try it. Just look at the photographs. It tastes even better. You do get an extensive choice of beverages if you really need to make some decisions before you eat…

what I ordered: chicken rice plate vs what I received: pork and beef phó. Lee, the person that picked up the phone when I called to tell them I got the wrong order and offered to bring it back, proceeded to tell me that what I ordered was not available, so they just sent me their customer favorite I asked why nobody called me prior to just sending me whatever, he told me they were too busy for that. the egg roll was too greasy to eat. and the phó broth smelled weird. and the meat… well its pictured. needless to say, I disputed it with doordash and went elsewhere. never again.

One of the better Bun bo hue I have had. Broth was good, noodles, near perfect, garnish was awesome. Side dish included all the normal you would get, but this included banana blossom shreds. Quick service.

I’ve been trying to find a Vietnamese restaurant that has Bun Bo Hue on their menu and this place’s Bun Bo Hue tasted different. It was okay and we didn’t get a decent sized portion of noodles, so we ordered more. Their chicken popcorn and their Thai Tea was good as well. The 2 stars is for not sanitizing hands after cleaning, handling straws (not the ones in paper covering), and for not using sanitize spray. My significant other saw only water used. That doesn’t clean anything… even pre-Covid.

So disappointed! Bun Bo Hue Duc Chuong is always my favorite, I have eaten at this restaurant for many years since it was just a little restaurant next to Manh Xuan Thai, and I have tried many of their franchises, even in Dallas, but I have to say “the 529” is the worst. I ordered a big bowl togo, but when I opened the box it was the big surprise, it was different from other BBH Duc Chuong I have been, the noodle was like the leftover from the fridge, the broth was not very fresh either, it was cold and very light. Never come back to this place.
