AN OASIS IN A FOOD DESERT! I was in Pierre three weeks for work. Pierre unfortunately has poor healthy food choices, it’s perplexing that this is a capital city and restaurant selection is horrible. Luckily I found Drifters on my third day, because their food is amazing. They have varied options from classic American such as steaks, chops and ribs, but they also have Asian and Indian food options. The restaurant is new, well kept and clean, the staff were friendly and attentive. They have a great view of the river. I went here 6 times because it was so good. I live in Vegas, where we have some of the best restaurants in the US and Drifters could compete in Vegas in my opinion. My favorite dish was the Vegetarian Curry with Chicken added, fantastic!!! Look no further, Drifters is the spot in Pierre!!

Beautiful spot next to the river with a gorgeous view from the table. Also has outdoor games for use….corn hole, life size jenga, etc. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

Possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. Melted in my mouth. The staff was over the top, especially Lexy. Huge liquor selection. Totally surprising experience for a small town. My wife raved about the gluten-free bun, which was soft and perfectly toasted. The view was exceptional, wouldn’t recommend changing a thing! No one warned us that the country Inn and suites was condemned and should be torn down.

Talk about a great view and beautiful interior! This is a really pretty restaurant. Outdoor seating is available. Beautiful views of the river. Food was very tasty and served hot hot hot. Coffee here was very nice. They do not have a dessert menu but have a selection of freshly baked items. The spinach and artichoke appetizer was really great. Everything we ordered was nice and fresh…this is definitely a must when visiting Pierre. Best make a reservation though…the parking lot is almost always full.

New to town, been twice and the food is good for what they offer. Menu very limited when we go out we order healthy options, salad or a meal with chicken. the service and views are amazing also the pretzel bites.

This was a super nice place. I like that you can take the bike path from the hotel to the restaurant. I had dinner and a few cocktails. The food and drinks was all very good. Service was attentive, friendly, and always checking in. I had a good time
