I’ve been looking for a good German restaurant and boy was this it. The staff although clearly working hard, were very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. I hope to return here again with friends and family. May God bless their hard work.

Food was very good. Just what I was looking for. I have been craving German sausages and potato pancakes and my cravings were amply satisfied. The ambience with suits of armor and coocoo clocks and beer steins brought me back to an earlier nostalgic feel that made me both sad and happy. That only missing days of long ago can do. Do go if you can they have so much more to offer, I can’t wait to go back now that I know they survived the pandemic. They are also looking to hire help to continue to serve their community with all their delicious meals they have for years to come.

Mediocre at best. Reviews seemed ok. An hour drive for each of us to get there. Server new, she got 2 stars. 3 tables total in dining room. 13 total persons.

Had reservations at 2pm for a party of four. We made the reservations four days ahead of time for a birthday late lunch. We get there and before we are able to get to the door and man poked his head out to tell us they decided to not open the restaurant until 3pm due to no one scheduled. He offered no apology, and no kind of reconciliation. We received no phone calls telling us the store was not going to be open anymore at the time of our reservation. I will never go there again.

Finally able to go to the restaurant. It is very difficult to find out the hours and contact the place as they are only open on the weekends and on holidays. They are short staffed so that is why the hours are so weird. The service is slow as a result so expect to be there for a while. The owner is very talkative and friendly and can help pass the time though.

We love this place! The food was good as always with the exception that the kraut had not pickled properly. While understaffed, they did their best to keep us in appetizers while they cooked our meal. Service was a little slower than normal, but ours was a family event, so it gave us time to visit

Great time at this place, not going to sugarcoat the fact it does take a while here, there’s not a lot of staff because it’s a small place, if you’re coming expect to be patient and be reasonable, they’re hard working people. Food was great and well priced for what it is, didn’t leave feeling hungry that’s for sure, the atmosphere is really cool, interesting history and has a feeling of almost being in a different world. Will come again, but I do live far away, unfortunately.

Closed when they should’ve been open. Birth google and the sign on the door were incorrect. We drove an hour to try a new place only to find the door locked.

We have tried to eat here twice recently during hours they are supposed to be open according to Google and the sign on their door, and both times they were closed. Is it still in operation? The exterior of the building looks mighty run down, but there are reviews suggesting some people have eaten here in the last few months. So confusing…
