I wish I could give a raving review and recommendation of the food and Dreamland, but unfortunately, I’m not able to. I am visiting from Ohio and wanted some good ole fried okra, mac and cheese and ribs..sigh…I was so excited to enter after visiting a local church…rolls eyes…get inside and wait..and wait..and wait some more (total of 20 minutes)…I tried to make eye contact to get someones attention..I smiled at a few of the ladies that work there but still no contact or be right with you or anything! Sigh…so, hopefully, your experience would be better than mine as I was not able to enjoy what I assumed was gonna be an AWESOME Sunday lunch! ..I guess my suggestion would be to speak to the employees to let them know you want to place an order or go through the drive-through or maybe sit at a table … im not really sure… so again, hopefully you all will get to enjoy what I wasn’t able to!

Called in an order to go. Wife got the pork platter with two sides. I got the cheeseburger. BBQ and sides are always good but if you want a really good cheeseburger then give it a try. Would highly recommend it. I know it’s sacrilege to do that at a BBQ place. But I saw someone post a photo of one and had to try it. excellent.

Young lady behind the bar was very energetic and polite, showed everyone this Sunday 3/12/2023 that she was menu knowledgeable n patient. Food was great just don’t understand the small portioned sides.

I just want to start this by saying I love BBQ. I’ve eaten BBQ from many regions and I have an appreciation for lots of different smoking styles and sauces. Dreamland is the first BBQ joint that I’ve tried in Montgomery and it set a pretty high standard. I ordered a simple BBQ pork sandwich with potato salad and at the waitress’s recommendation I topped it off with some nanna puddin. The pork was chopped but with large enough pieces so you could still get a good idea of the texture of the meat. It has a great flavor without sauce but I had to try the sauce. They only have one choice of sauce but it was delicious. It was a tangy vinegar based sauce with just a touch of heat. It had enough heat to notice but no where near enough to be uncomfortable to anyone unless they have a zero spice tolerance. It was a great compliment to the pork. The sweat tea was great as well. It actually had a tea flavor without being diabetic inducing. The potato salad had a good mustard flavor and really went well with the sandwich. And yes the nanna puddin was delicious. Great food and a super friendly staff made for a really awesome lunch.

We were traveling home and had to hurry to get here before they closed early for the holiday. We made it and were so glad we did. I always feel for the employees that have to work on holidays but these ladies were a delight to interact with. There is really no need to even say how delicious the food is. If you want BBQ, this is the place to stop.

There were no other diners when we arrived at the end of the “lunch period”. We were greeted immediately and were able to choose our table. Once we made our decisions, drinks were served. The food was tasty, the sauce was delicious but the burnt ends were though and not edible. The ribs had the same issue down at the gristle. Otherwise, worth a visit. This travel business owner enjoys visiting and sharing with all of you.

Stopped in as we were traveling. So glad we didn’t just pop into a fast food joint. Our server Brenda was very sweet and prompt. We had sausage and ribs. Wow! Amazing! The establishment was spotlessly clean as well. Worth it! Would definitely stop in again!
