Bartender service was slightly off, but the food was excellent. Juicy Lucy was perfect and exactly what I needed. Complimenting the cooks absolutely. Traveling folks who typically stay in Lexington and come out to Nicholasville … found a new location for sure . Awesome!

We visited on a busy Friday evening and we had a party of 7, including 3 kids. Service and food were both great. I wasn’t super impressed with our seating arrangements though. The area where we were seated was not extremely accommodating for kids. The tables were very high and they had special high chairs that were built taller to reach the tables. The issue is our toddlers were out in the aisles blocking traffic, and these extra tall high chairs were easily tipped over. So I spent the entire time we were there eating with one hand and holding the high chair with the other. My toddler almost flipped the chair and it would’ve been a big fall into a concrete floor. So if you visit this location, I’d ask to be sit somewhere more accommodating for children. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten, and the fried pickles were great too.

I’ve only had the chicken sandwich and chicken tenders; however, both are great. Their BBQ sauce is absolutely amazing! The waiter was great as well. The only bad thing about the whole visit was my wife’s margarita. She only took one drink because it tasted so bad, so that was an 11 dollar waste.

While out enjoying a weekend drive, Fat Man Reviews made its way to Drake’s Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville, KY. Drake’s is a small chain with 18 restaurants over 6 states. Drake’s is open for lunch, dinner and late night eats.

A fantastic place, atmosphere, and food! This restaurant consistently serves great food! The family atmosphere is amazing and the inside vibe is always chill.

Drakes is typically very good with quality food and service. We did go with a larger party of 7 on a Saturday night about 7 pm. The wait was 45 minutes and no complaint as a larger party on a Saturday night would be longer. The service was so so with inconsistent follow up. Ordering drinks (mox of alcoholic and non-alcoholic) was ok. Ordered food. Key issue ordered some pretzel sticks to snack on while meals made. Those didn’t come until the main meal. Food brought out at different times – one dish brought out 10 minutes before everyone else’s. Sliders buns were dried out. Tempura sushi was so so and relatively bland. No soy sauce. Teriyaki chicken was good but served cold. I would give them another shot but not sure about this location. They did give us two $5 coupons for out next visit.

I’ve been here several times for lunch and dinner with and without a toddler. It has always been a good place to go and wonderful experience. Highly recommend visiting for good food and great beer selection.
