Wonderful breakfast and lunch focused diner. Staff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the Jalapeno Ranch burger with a side of onion rings. The burger was on the larger size and cooked well, messy but not impossible to eat.

Literally the best breakfast joint in town. My husband and I are regulars here. Today we went in to eat and I was cramping so bad we had to order our food to-go today. Bree our favorite waitress (although we’ve been served by them all and they are ALL AMAZING) left me such a sweet message on my to go box telling me she hopes I feel better. ❤️ her kindness actually made me cry. We love this place and I’ll never stop recommending it. The food is wonderful, as well as the service. We love it here and we will never stop coming. 10/10

I tried this place because of the great reviews online but I must’ve ordered the wrong thing. I don’t eat pork anymore and they don’t offer turkey substitutions so I ordered the “chopped steak”. When my order came, it was a hamburger patty. I was confused because that’s definitely not the steak I was envisioning. When I asked another waitress, she said “that’s the chopped steak here”. I was sooo disappointed. That should be explained in the menu or the waitress should let customers know what they’re really getting. The home fries and eggs were ok. My waitress was friendly. I may give it another try and try a lunch item but as of right now, it’s a 2/5 for me.

This was our first visit to the Downtowner. Our waitress was only on her second day. It’s seat yourself so we went right in and pick our seats. We were greeted almost instantly. Took our orders and brouht drinks immediately the food came quickly and was delicious. Big portions for the price definitely worth it. We got biscuits and gravy sausage, bacon, sausage, pancake, toast and eggs. Everything was superb! We will definitely be back to The Downtowner! Service, food and quality was excellent!

I had been to the Downtowner for the first time years ago, but hadn’t reviewed it. Today, I decided to stop by and see if the food was as good today as it was the last time I stopped in for breakfast. I had the two sweet cream pancakes and link sausage with coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed the pancakes, which had a dense consistency and lightly sweet flavor. I also found the sausage links to be good and noticed that they were served in a casing. The coffee wasn’t anything special and was so hot that I couldn’t drink much of it until I was nearly done with my food. Overall, not a bad breakfast with fairly quick service. If you do go and don’t want to sit at the bar, prepare to wait. Tables here are at a premium.

Breakfast for lunch is a bonus, 2 non-menu requests were greeted with a smile and delivered spot-on. Simple stuff like jalepenos and cheddar on the grits really made this meal! Being in walking distance I will be back often.
