This place has some inexpensive food. The food is not the best and can be dry. I ordered their spicy shrimp with spicy chicken. Both were just okay but nothing special. Staff didn’t really speak English. They also do not accept credit cards, cash only. Portions are generous for what you pay.

I always have an enjoyable dining experience when I come to Downtown Express. I have been eating here for as long as I have lived in Ventura County. Love the teriyaki chicken and rice with skewer shrimp
