I stopped going here because of how they act as if you’re in wrong place when you get there! Well I decided to give them another chance and support local businesses but Friday I was so upset, I stood there waiting to be seated while the owner and manager walked past me several times for @8 minutes, then waitress finally seated me only for me to wait another 20 minutes for a drink, unbelievable! But to top it off my food was horrible, I paid $15 plus tip for horrible experience, guess you can’t find good customer service outside of bigger cities!

Staff was friendly, Food was good. Prices are good. I only have a few issues. #1 I was seated at a dirty table, #2 I order a Stromboli and got a calzone, now calzones are not on the menu and another customer order a Stromboli that looked like an actual Stromboli. So I’m not sure what happened there. The bathrooms are not air conditioned. And lastly I fill the sauce and marinara has to much spices.

Very disappointing. 53.00 for 2 Strombolis 2 side salads and 2 drinks… so 13.00 for 2 Stromboli is ok I guess but 5.00 for a side salad? The service was very mediocre could not get a refill. Took us 20 minutes to get our salads and I had to ask for them… will not be back

Downtown Cafe is a go to spot for my family when visiting Hartwell. We called on short notice for a party of 16 and they were polite & accommodating. Service was great along with the food. Also, the prices for alcohol drinks are affordable!
