Was our first time there. Took a while to get acknowledged. Passing waitress noticed our dirty table, said she’d take care of it, and a different waitress came out like 10 minutes later. Got our drink and food order. After waiting over 20 minutes we got our drinks. It was evident she’d forgotten about us. Food was out within a couple minutes. I had catfish, fries and hush puppies. Dad had the burger steak thing and fries. I was so hungry, but honestly, I’d only recommend the hush puppies. Fries were overcooked, fish was decent, but dad’s hamburger thing was so bland, even with plenty of salt and pepper. Dunno if there’s no seasoning used when cooking, or if the meat had been freezer burnt to lose flavor. I think it could have been better from other reviews, so I’d be willing to try them another time. The employees we spoke with were very sweet and polite. I support local ma & pa places

I’ve been in town just a few months now and this is quickly becoming my favorite lunch spot. Great place to sit and read and have a good wholesome meal.

The food was excellent, really good. Chicken Tenders are huge and my husband said the catfish was some of the best he ever had. The hot fudge cake was really good. We did go on a Friday night during yard sale weekend, so the service wasnt great. We sat on the side with the cake bar and it seemed like we kept getting forgot about. This was our first time, but we will definitely be back.

When I came in I was on the phone so I know exactly how long everything took. They said I could sit anywhere. It was 7 minutes before I got a menu and water. Another 6 minutes before my order was taken. Food came out decently fast and I saw when they put it at the window, but all of the servers had ran into the kitchen just before it giggling about something. I got up to get it myself and one of them saw me and handed it to me. I just had a Philly and corn bread. The cornbread was dry and lacked flavor. The seasoning on the Philly was good, just wished the bread was toasted more. By the way the resturant was almost completely empty, servers were just no where to be seen.

They have the best chicken fried steak and green beans. It’s such a relaxing country atmosphere. They play good old country music and a lot of Dolly Parton. All the staff are the sweetest ever.

I have never had a bad meal here. This time was grilled chicken with Cajun seasoning, mashed potatoes and gravy and soup beans, very rewarding. Friendly local people and friendly atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite meal stops.

This place is so good! Well decorated, clean, just really nice. Hard to find these kind of restaurants nowadays. Mom and I stopped by when we were in the area and had the Down Home special and fried cod. That food and our sides were all delicious. Hannah was our sweet waitress, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. Can’t wait to go back and try their desserts!
