The food was great! Large portions and cooked very quickly exactly the way we ordered it and the service was wonderful! Both the cook and the server that were there that day were super efficient got along great and had a well-oiled machine! They have very good options and they did breakfast and lunch for us at 9:30 in the morning for us!

I ordered a couple of items off of the menu to go. I was going on my 10hr break and didn’t have anything for today or tomorrow.

I stopped here originally because I like the small independent truck stops. At the big chain ones (love’s/TA’s/Flying J’s ) it’s all about getting in and out, dealing with miserable people.

In town for work and stopped to get a bite for breakfast. I was impressed by the relative speed of service and quality of food. The breakfast biscuit was huge and made to order. Will definitely revisit when in the area.

Stopped here for the first time, for breakfast. It’s definitely worth stopping for. It lives up to the name Down Home Diner. Nothing fancy, but the food is prepared to your order, and worth the short wait while it’s being made. I got a sausage and cheese omelet with home fries cooked on the grill, not deep fried. And a fresh made biscuit. Wow! The home fries were the best I’ve ever had, and the omelet was real good too. The atmosphere may not look like much, but the food sure makes up for that. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a longtime! I’ll be back next time by.

Great food, friendly atmosphere, and affordable – what more can you ask for, and they serve breakfast all day!! It was busy with dine-in and take out which is a good indication of their quality. We had French toast and their country breakfast. We’ll stop again on our travels.

Don’t get a hamburger the meat taste like a dough burger or something it’s not just ground beef it has an awful taste to where the burger couldn’t be eaten. Fries were hot and fresh and the side salad was ok just pre packaged dressing with tomatoes that were over ripe. The gentleman serving you smells of body odor very bad and he was the only waiter and cook all in one he does it all by himself. Place is just older and everything is pretty dusty inside. I would recommend going elsewhere if you have the option.

Owner wants truck drivers to pay 20 bucks to park overnight. Delusional. I can see it if it was in a big city. Bumfuk Kentucky, not happening. Drivers need to boycott that place…..greedy mfer…..

It’s a sin that this place has turned into, looks run down, and the food was barely edible. The gentleman working here barely spoke english, making it difficult to order. I do not recommend this place at all. If you do go, do not order any of the hamburger meals. Meat is precooked and kept in water until time to reheat.

Don’t know what was the worse the attitudes of the two woman working or the coffee. Pancakes were terrible I only ate 1/4 of them. Coffee was so strong and old tasting neither of us drank it. My husband did enjoy his home fries; but, the sausage gravy only had one small piece of sausage in it.
