Decent, but not exceptional BBQ! Ribs are really Tender, but I didn’t like the slaw. Price is really fair!

Great ribs. I am stuffed…if you want good food come here…if you want a tourist Hotspot go somewhere else. This is a locals place…not some special Foo Foo place. Great bbq.

Kuni Tojo
Loved their BBQ bites, baked beans, potato salad and corn bread for lunch.

This was my first time coming here and I was so impressed I will be back for sure. The service was so fantastic and our waitress had such a wonderful personality. The food is so delicious and reminds me of the home cooking my momma used to do. The atmosphere is so friendly and fits the place so well. And for the first time ever, I would say the food is underprice (which is very much appreciated.) They give you super generous portions and you can absolutely certain it is all fresh all the way down to the sweet tea they brew by the pitcher. Absolute must try for anyone who hasn’t been who loves some good home cooking.

Amazing small town barbecue. Had the pulled chicken sandwich and it was nicely sauced. Didn’t make a huge mess but just the right amount to make the flavor pop. Green beans made in the good southern way along with the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend their desserts as they are homemade in the restaurant.

We have lived here for 10 years and just now discovered Down Home. It’s nothing fancy, but it is down home cooking, and the food is great! We have really enjoyed the ribs the most so far. Service is always super friendly too!

Chris Pyle
Very friendly staff. Everyone came to talk to me about where I had ridden in from. Food was good. No complaints.

Don’t let the humble looks fool you, this place is fantastic! The ribs were very flavorful and fell off the bone in the perfect way. I went with a group of 10 and we were all treated to the best buttered cornbread we had ever had right after sitting down. Service was quick and kind.

Harmony was an excellent hostess who gave us complimentary corn bread that looked like pancakes. Very tasty. Home cooked taste on the potatoes and green beans. Fat on brisket could have been better-rendered, but over all a very good meal.
