Visited for dinner while traveling. The food was priced right and good. Their burger buns had a unique, good texture which I wasn’t expecting. The beer selection had a few unique options for someone from out of town (e.g., Badger State) which was very welcome. Most critically, I recommend you come here if you want a unique experience. Only once at a restaurant where I became a regular have I found the level of hospitality which Doug brings. It is a deeply personalized dining experience and I recommend you check it out.

Second visit to Doug’s Take 5 Restaurant at Four Seasons Tennis Club. This is a bar which happens to have fish fry. Had perch both times. First time the perch was great, second time it was good; do not know why. There is a U shaped bar often filled with the regulars and some tables, nothing fancy. You can also sit outside. One wall is windows overlooking Four Seasons Tennis Courts. Takes quite a bit of time to get your dinner.

Doug prides himself on friendly service and delicious food, as well as handcrafted drinks. No place else can beat Doug’s burgers, and no place can even come close to his French Fries!

Per my wife’s recommendation we had dinner at Doug’s. I arrived 20 minutes before and had an opportunity to have a couple drinks and chat with Doug. Great drinks and good conversation. Ordered burgers, fries and cheese curds. Food was excellent, seen hidden gem mentioned before, yes this place is small but delivers big on food quality!

Doug’s is a great neighborhood tavern that serves beverages, sandwiches, burgers, soups, and salads. I recommend the New Brunswick stew, which they’re most noted for. Last night my wife and I stopped to share cheese curds.
