Dough Boy’s was founded in 1989 in the surf-town of Virginia Beach, VA. For many reasons, Dough Boy’s is a special place.
It starts with great dough, of course. We make it from scratch every day, allow it to rise naturally, and hand stretch each pie.
More than just your ordinary pizza place, Dough Boy’s has served unique, consistent, good food for many years. The recipe is simple. Create pizza and other specialties with the choicest ingredients. Our first time there. We saw people eating pizza that looked amazing, they were on a bench outside our hotel and recommended that we go there! Diego is the best server!!! Was extremely helpful and kind. Definitely not your average neighborhood pizza joint. We asked about the ghost pepper bloody Mary, and he was kind enough to go check with the bartender because we wanted them extra spicy.

So I want to be clear…the waitress and bar tender/male server were absolutely fantastic. After waiting with my hungry wife and 3 hungry kids at a table that we had been seated at and ordered from 15 minutes prior we were informed that our order ticket had never been processed and therefore our expected wait time had just started back at zero with absolutely no apology. Another 20 minutes and my kids had reached their wits end from waiting so we asked to have our seating switched to the outside seats and still no food. The female server was very considerate and did her best to compensate for the poorly managed kitchen staff and the male server came from out of his section to apologize for the negligence and both times the sentiments were appreciated but they didn’t fill our stomachs. 1 pizza and 1 order of wings wound up taking over an hour and after sitting at the table waiting for my food and finally getting it, I still never got the drink that I ordered at the beginning of my meal.

Called in for a pickup. When I arrived the girl went to check on the pizza. No one else spoke to me for 40 mins. When I asked a waitress she went to check and the pizza was in the warming box right behind the register, it was there when I arrived to pick it up. They acted like it was my fault that I didn’t get it myself. Staff was lazy and rude, pie was pretty much cooked to a crisp after being in the warmer so long. Horrible experience

The food was incredible and it came out hot and fast. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. I highly recommend this establishment and we’ll visit it again before we leave town.

Went twice the service was ok a little slow at night, better in the day. Place looks OK dont expect nothing fancy at location and how many people in and out. We got a table quick both times and tables and plates were clean.

The beautiful young lady’s at the dough boys on 17th st were a delight to be served by. Paige was so attentive to our table while simultaneously training if I’m correct. Nicole was so sweet and made the experience so friendly and fun. Don’t get me started on how good their food is. Thank you guys for a great dine in experience.

All we wanted was a slice of pizza and a soda. Well we couldn’t get a slice, we had to get their “deal” of a personal double which came with a drink for $8.88 and when we added an extra drink to it, the total came to almost $14.00. That’s one expensive soda! Any way, the pizza was the worst. It took forever to get it to go, even though it wasn’t very busy, and it was so thin and dry. We would have been better off eating the box it came in. Most of it ended up in the trash.

Stopped to get a Pizza to go. Put in my order and paid. The place had a couple of people but was basically empty. Told me it would be 20 minutes. 30 minutes later and they had forgot my order even though the place was empty. Ended up waiting 50 minutes for a Pizza.

We placed an order online and when we arrived to pick it up, they told us that they didn’t have it there. We had them check in back 3 times and they said it definitely wasn’t there. They told us that is was at the 33rd street location. We walked in the pouring rain to the 33rd street location. When we got there, they told us that it was at the 17th street location. They wouldnt even offer us a discount for the miscommunication. They were rude and unwilling to help us even after we had to walk from 17th to 33rd and back to 17th in the rain. I would not recommend this type of a business that isn’t concerned about customer service for their mistake. We are from Connecticut and will never go to this business again. Horrible experience for a vacation from people out of state.

This is the place to be to enjoy bangin pizza and have a beer too … I love the atmosphere and I was thoroughly impressed with how we were treated by the staff .. will definitely recommend to al my friends and definitely coming again
