We chose Double Eagle for my wife’s birthday dinner while staying at Discovery Bay. Our server was Jen whose personality and attitude were five stars. That said, was there seemed to be a shortage of servers so getting served and closing our tab took longer than they should have. My wife was looking forward to a whole crab but it was so small it was barely the size of a half crab. At this restaurant at this location that it not acceptable for the price. She did not want to send it back and patiently ate it saying it was good but not very sweet. My halibut was quite good other than a few bones in the first piece. It was not worth twice what my friend paid for cod. The fries and coleslaw were great and the lemon and chocolate mousse were delicious.

Absolutely stunning. We had our office Christmas party here, and the staff at the Cedars made sure it would become a fond memory. The grounds are beautiful and clean, the building is elegant and well-designed, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the people are professional and welcoming. Our party was attended to by Olivia K. and Ken M., and we couldn’t have asked for better staff. They were on top of everything, making sure the space stayed clean, drinks were filled, plates were taken, without ever being in the way or intrusive. The table that was set up for us was gorgeous, with wonderfully festive accents. Overall it was a great success, and I attribute much of that to the professionals we were lucky enough to have serve us. If I have any parties in the future, I’ll be sure to bring them here.

Jeremy was the best waiter I’ve had in a long time. Food was fantastic. No complaints. Little pricey but we were splurging on vacation so we didn’t care. Would recommend if you don’t mind spending!

Took a chance without reservations and we were able to sit on the patio. We were told it would take a while to prep our meal. It was a lovely evening and we were happy. Staff members were friendly and accommodating. Didn’t hurt to have nice-sized Cadillac Margaritas while we waited! My companion’s elk burger was cooked as ordered and very good; he also really liked the sweet potato fries. My steak was cooked as ordered, the green beans were perfectly cooked with a little crunch to them, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and rich. We *might* have enjoyed another margarita during dinner…

I called to order the prime rib special to go on tuesdays. My order was on time for pickup. The meat was in a wobbly cardboard container that was coming open inside the plastic bag and leaking the blood from the prime rib that was supposed to be medium. The veggies were 4 asparagus spears that were tasty and a scoop of mashed potatoes. It was good tasty, but the meat had to be fried once I returned home to the medium doneness that I had ordered. Could use a sturdy container for their takeout. The receptionist who took my order was helpful and friendly.

Fine dining steak and seafood restaurant, among the best in the area. The servers were awesome (thanks Trey, Sarah, and Madison!). We enjoyed the fried oysters, crab cocktail, wagyu steak w/ scallops, delicious cocktails, and yummy desserts.

When I called to make reservations the person who answered the phone didn’t know what was on the menu other than ham. I like to know in advance what’s being served just in case I don’t like the offerings. After having Thanksgiving brunch there several years ago (not good), we decided to give it another try. Not much better & definitely will not return for brunch. Most hot foods were lukewarm not hot. Ham & prime rib were pre cut & sitting there drying out so it was very unappealing. No gravy for mashed potatoes (au jus doesn’t count). Overall, a small selection of foods. Menu offered 4 desserts but they ran out. I was bummed. Server told me to “go to Safeway since they have pretty good desserts. Or try Costco”. I told her Costco is closed on Easter. Our server was nice enough but the overall ambiance, or lack thereof, was not very positive or happy. We really enjoy Stymies so we will go there next time.

Food was bland, waitress was training another waitress and didn’t supervise. Waitress got checks mixed up on customers credit cards

The food is OK but it’s really unfair for this site to keep including a menu that double eagle no longer has. Very disappointing to find out the menu is the same as Stymies on the other side of the building. Went to double eagle for fancy meal and ended up with pub food. Double Eagle, fix your site! fix your menu!

We come often. The 27th we had the best dinner ever. Is there a new Chef? Prime rib best cut, perfect. Whoever plated our meal was certainly a cut above the usual. Forgot to get their name. I urge you to dine there.
