Having been to Dottie’s in the past, I was expecting my dinning experience to be great…however that wasn’t the case. Some of our order did not come when the rest of the food came. I asked for cheddar and got mozzarella cheese. It just didn’t seem like they were on point. Also, political stickers that greet you on your way in was a total turn off.

I have been a loyal customer of Dottie’s Diner for many years, and it is with great disappointment that I write this review. Recently, I visited the restaurant with my family, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. However, what I encountered left me thoroughly appalled.

The layout of this nostalgic themed diner makes good sense. To serve customers on their way to work or who are in a hurry, Dottie’s has an entrance room that offers breakfast pastries and desserts plus a thermos coffee bar. For those who want to dine in, there is a good sized dining area with booths and counter with stools. Fun kitschy art decorates the walls.

Great little breakfast place. The omelette was huge and delicious. I paired it with a mimosa and it was so filling. Never mind the rye toast and home fries that came with it. I was absolutely stuffed, they had to roll me out the door.

My cousin who grew up in Middlebury heard of Dotties through the grapevine and I’m so glad she did.Their donuts are a local staple and a must try as per the reviews. We get there around 10am and they were almost out of every donut. Their Boston cream donut is the most popular and we couldn’t even try one so we’ll definitely have to go earlier next time.We did enjoy the jelly filled it was like a very old school neighborhood bakery taste and I loved it.The breakfast/brunch is a must.I enjoyed the special, fried green tomatoes with a side of their tasty home fries and fried egg with hollandaise on a bed of spinach. We ordered the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes and they were so good. The coffee was surprisingly very good I drank it black no sugar. The best part was the service, everyone was so friendly and patient with us.

I had known Dottie’s as an amazing bakery but this was our first time eating in the restaurant. Fantastic smooth service. The feel of this place is perfect down to the black and white movies on the TV in the corner. Absolutely incredible fresh breakfast came out quick. I’ve never had fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! The potatoes had onions and peppers in them, the coffee was quality/smooth. Would highly recommend

Unlike most other eateries, the staff here are still civilized and attentive. SUPERB decorations. The cuisine is a traditional core but with all the good innovations you might desire (for instance, blueberry racotta pancakes) but none of the goofy weird new recipes that plague restaurants. A modest wait (10-15 min) to get a table as we couldn’t use the bar, but we took this as a good sign for the quality of the food.

What more can I say about Dotty’s? It is our families go to breakfast spot. Undoubtedly, even though most of my family comes from New Milford and have to drive over 35 minutes to come here, really outstanding service really outstanding menu and super consistent. The chef there really has my top nod of my hat. Go check them out they also have a full service bakery which everything you can get out of there is beyond out of this worldthey also have a full service bakery which everything you can get out of there is beyond out of this world

New owners posted hateful political slogans on the podium you stand near in order to get seated. This place used to be great but seriously changed in the last few years. Classless trashy ownership has ruined this diner

Ran in on Sunday morning to pick up some donuts. Brought them home , thinking they would be delicious like in the past, especially when it was Phillips Diner. We bit into them, they tasted disgusting with chunks of baking soda/baking powder in clumps in them, very doughy, and nut fully cooked. The girl threw in the chocolate covered donuts together with the others in the bag. The chocolate came off all over the other donuts.
