With having a place close by Dorset, we have tried out this restaurant a handful of times as a family. We have always been very friendly, patient, & respectful. Unfortunately all of our experiences have been pretty poor & we have left feeling very disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door we felt less than welcomed. We were never greeted with a cheerful face, no smile, and the hostess was not very inviting. It felt more like we were a burden or they were annoyed with us being there. That experience also trickled into our service each time as well which was slow, inattentive, and a major lack of friendliness on their part in our interactions with our servers. The poor quality of service combined with the lack of friendliness from the staff truly made for an unpleasant experience each time we have been to the point of us not wanting to even try it again. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt which is why we visited more than once, but after numerous negative experiences as a small family I don’t have a lot of hope in anything changing on their part. I would not recommend.

I look forward to eating at La Pasta every time I’m vacationing in the area. We always encounter friendly staff and excellent food at breakfast and dinner! Love the salad and breadsticks that accompany the delicious entrees. The general store always has great Dorset clothes and stickers in addition to other necessities.

La Pasta Italian Restaurant is by far the best in Dorset. Plentiful portions, large salad, fresh bread sticks and a large menu of Italian foods! You may want to make reservations, they fill up!

Our group of seven enjoyed a delicious Italian meal at La Pasta this week. Our server was attentive, polite, and cheerful. The food was a taste of Italy in the Northwoods-delicious red sauce and creamy cheesy Alfredo, perfectly cooked pasta. The side salad was fresh, and the breadsticks were toasted to golden brown. The kids enjoyed Italian sodas. Please ignore all those ridiculous bad reviews and listen to our family. We know what’s up!

Service was subpar. It took an hour to get two pancakes, bacon (which the waitress forgot initially), and an omelet. The food, especially the hash browns and pancakes were amazing though and I’d come back to try their dinner. We were assuming there was only one cook in the kitchen, and there seemed to only be one waitress and a hostess who were both standoffish and slow paced

We stopped in for a late breakfast. The ham and cheese omlet with hash browns and toast were fantastic. The hash browns were crispy, the ham and cheese omlet had plenty of ham and cheese and was topped with cheese. Gypsy had biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was homemade and the gravy had sausage in it. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
