I visited Dorotka for the first time to prep for Easter. I’m very disappointed in the deli I purchased and my experience. I asked dorotka for a 6-8” piece of sausage and when I came home I noticed she had sold me the entire link, way more than I had wanted. The worst part was the sausage was rotten. The inside of the sausage was grey and moldy. I now understand why she sold me such a big piece. Very disappointed and grossed out. What a waste of money.

Decent selection, staff could be friendlier though.

I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. I love how the place had been renovated and remodeled. It gives it a much modern and cleaner look. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because there’s less assortment now, with the new owners, and much less Polish products that made room for Ukrainian goods. I’m not against Ukrainian I just miss some things I used to be able to buy there and now I can’t

Absolutely love this store. Owners are always so nice and helpful. Amazing selection of polish food, sweets, drinks, and more. Prices are AMAZING, and the ready to eat food is so delicious.

Fantastic! Not only is the sausage delicious but the European ham and cheese is the best tasting I ever had! Great food, service and price! Would give more than 5 stars if i could.

We have lived in Monroe many years and were delighted to discover the quaint and well-appointed Polish store where we thought we could buy those delicious sausages, breads, stuffed cabbage, etc. A few days ago we went into the store to do some shopping and the person in charge (we don’t know if she was the owner, a Polish lady) was occupied with another client. We looked around for a while and patiently waited while the lady was engaged in conversation with the previous client. We waited for quite some time without even being looked at, then when that person left and she finally looked up at us she didn’t seem to be in a very good mood. We asked her about a special kind of sausage that we have bought in another Polish place in Manhattan. She snapped at us and acting very annoyed told us she didn’t have it. After this very uncomfortable moment we left the store without making a purchase. And we will not return. That lady doesn’t seem to realize that in this country you have to confront the competition with good service, not bad manners. I hope they change their attitude because otherwise I will have to do without my mouthwatering sausages. Jeannette T

Always a pleasure to go there and get some deliciousness from SNR. I’ve been a customer for years. They make great salads and homemade periogies. They have delicious kielbasa and other Polish delicacies.

Little gem. Good bread, chocolates and plenty of other things. Pay them a visit!

Man do I love Polish food. Hearty meat, potatoes, fried things…what’s not to like? I always heard that there was a Polish deli around here, but couldn’t find it until I happened upon it one day when I was going out to dinner at the mediocre asian restaurant on the road opposite. I came back, and while it isn’t very big it does have everything that you’d expect a Polish food store to have, and a lot of it homemade. The woman that runs the place doesn’t speak much English, but she’s nice and if I can make due then so can you. Best of all, like most Polish places, it is super good and cheap. Things I’ve had include chicken and gravy, meatballs and gravy, and stuffed cabbage. Everything comes with mashed potatoes, they will mix things up, and it always costs between $4 and $6.50 for a portion that breaks down to 2 good sized lunches worth of food. Stuffed cabbage is far from my favorite dish, but this was a good–if filler heavy–version. The most important thing was there though: flavor. The chicken was very tender, the meatballs were spiced wonderfully, and the gravy they came with was tasty. I also like them using juniper beeries in both the meatballs as well as the gravy. None of this stuff was gourmet, but it was satisfying in a very homestyle sort of way.

They have a lot of products from Europe and Russia. Russian Borodinski bread is delicious! Especially we love their Polish sausages and cheesehead. Can’t have enough of them!
