This is a great rare find. I went 5 years ago and met the original owner on a quest to meet another Doreen. The food was served quickly and tasted great. Beautiful new owners that are sweet and courteous.

First time here, I expected more of a diner. You order at the counter and they bring jt to you. A friend’s dad said he recommended the fried chicken. Typically I could have never tried this. I am glad I did. It was very good and it was the Sunday special. The Sunday special was 3 random pieces of fried chicken and 2 sides. I got fries and they’re not as skinny as steak and shake but they’re thin; equally as good as the chicken. I had the baked beans, they were not bad but from a short order restaurant it was good. The meal was under $10, I got water.

Place is a little restaurant. You walk in and you order your food then find a table to sit. We waited maybe 10 mins and 4 different meals were at the table. 100% correct. The waitress was very friendly.

Lovely restaurant comma service was pretty decent. The only issue we had was. The music kept turning off and on through the entire time we were here.

This is the best fried chicken, hands down. It’s juicy, well seasoned, and made at the moment. I highly recommend it.

My husband stopped by the Doreen’s Restaurant hoping for a good breakfast, we just couldn’t eat another greasy meal and thought maybe this would be our spot. When we arrived there were only two tables occupied. As we walked in there was a cashier and we had to order on the spot and pay up front – that was unusual. We were given a number and asked to sit anywhere. Easy choice since only 2 other tables were filled, however, several tables were filled with dirty dishes and food. We tried to look past the mess and hoped for the best. As we sat down the restaurant became incredibly busy and within no time all the tables were full, money had exchanged hands and we were waiting for this terrific meal – after all it looked as if the entire town was eating at Doreens. Our order came and of course it wasn’t what we had ordered, when I asked for another cup of coffee as she set the dishes in front of us the one or two waitresses said that she would try to get to it. Since we had already paid we just left. The funny thing is that I don’t think she missed us. The sad part is-that as we waited for our food my husband and I thought of so many ways the owners could fix their restaurant to be a real money-maker.

Doreen’s recently underwent a management change and its level of level of service and food quality has made a gigantic improvement. There is now music that is playing all the time and not the pay to play jukebox but they removed the crane game which was the highlight of the experience for my children. Also missing the interaction with the staff as they would float by making sure your cups were full which has contributed to my 4 star rating.
