I had heard from a coworker that the food was good, and that they have the best catfish in town. I ended up ordering the prime rib and the sides I chose were fries and Texas toast. I ordered my steak, medium rare. Was cooked to perfection. The fries seemed old, however they were tasty. The Texas toast was also good if you’re ever in town, please try Don steakhouse. It’s a good establishment for local residents coming from Jonesboro to Pocahontas is not worth the drive unless you plan to spend some time in Pocahontas overall I was satisfied, and I do recommend the food and the prices were reasonable the waitress and staff were very friendly.

Traveling through Pocahontas for vacation and this place came highly recommended. We needed a casual place for dinner. This place was HOPPIN. I mean we walked in and they said they’d clean a table “in just a minute.” It was seriously just a minute. We got menus and ordered drinks – not even a minute later, they were on the table! The food was hot and fresh, to say nothing of how delicious it was! Best fried catfish I have had in years. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The salad bar was well stocked with a decent variety of toppings. The dressing tasted a bit off, and I wasn’t terribly impressed with their selection of foods on the menu. Regardless, they had enough options for my father with kidney disease to find something he liked and could eat without issue. It was delicious and we enjoyed it.

I had the catfish meal, my wife had Sirloin steak. We ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. Forgive the pun, but I’m hooked!! The whole experience was Great!!!

Pretty good food. I always get the chicken sandwich and it compares typical to other places. They don’t have Buffett, which is unfortunate but do have a salad bar. Restaurant is older but not run down.

While traveling back home to Festus, Mo., from San Antonio, TX., we stopped at Don’s Steakhouse for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. Our food and service was great. The place was busy, but the server waisted no time in getting our food to us. The bathrooms were very clean. The entire staff was warm and friendly. The next time we are passing through Pocahontas, AR., we are definitely stopping at Don’s to eat!

We ordered hamburger and fries and sirlon steak. The sirlon, and sides were fine. The french fries were also good. The burger was terrible! It tasted like it had set in water all day and they just fished it out and put it on a bun. I ask for tomato and lettuce..didnt get the tomato..ask again and never brought it. Disappointed, expected better.

Great food and service. Salad bar was fresh. Jumbo burger was good. Wife’s 8oz Ribeye was cooked how she ordered and juicy. Ordered onion rings as a side, although not many, they were crispy and tasted great. Sides are a separate price from entree. Coffee tasted fresh and not burnt. You could also order decaf.

Don’s Steakhouse is okay, but I don’t get a steak when I’m there. They have no comparison to other places I have been. Their salads and sandwiches are fairly good so that’s what I get. Service is usually pretty friendly and quick.

Great food, especially the fried catfish platter. Lightly fried, not overly greasy. Reasonable prices and friendly, attentive wait staff.
