The covenant five star ⭐ review. I’ve been to some restaurants around the world and DONS ranks in the top for sure. You can tell the chef has a passion for food by watching him perfectly plate each meal. The attention to detail is definitely noticed as you stare at the plate of food you have before you. We ordered the devil’s egg for the appetizer. It was a steamed egg with with the yolk mousse topped with alligator bites and black truffles. For our main dish I had the crispy duck breast with the grits. My wife had the Florida red snapper with coconut black rice and a sweet corn puree. Everything was delicious to include the dessert we had. If you want a special place to take someone, well here you go. It’s pricey but it’s well worth it. Kudos to the staff and chef.

Really cool to see something higher end in this town. When I saw the head chef tweezering shaved truffle I was ready for a culinary experience and it delivered. Definitely think they have some kinks to work out, but could potentially be THE spot for high end dining in Hot springs.

The concept of a “Speakeasy”, having a secret code to enter, and passing through a secret bookcase is unique. As with his other brunch/lunch restaurant it is quite small. 6-4 tops, 3-2 tops, 2- 6 or 8 tops and approximately 12 bar seats. The seats are a bucket style and tend to be tight. The place acoustically is quite noisy and hard to talk with your dining friends or hear servers. One table asked for the music to be turned down as it was very loud. I ordered a dirty gin martini and there was no “dirty” available (olive juice). We went on Thursday so it wasn’t right after a weekend which was reason given for being out. Ordered the pigs & cornbread appetizer. Cornbread was sweet and rather dry and crumbly. The braised red cabbage had no flavor. Needed some acid. Hubs ordered Bolo catfish. A bowl with rabbit bolognese, pasta (no tortellini in the dish as described) and a piece of toasted bread. 2 pieces of catfish on a bread plate separate from pasta dish. From a culinary standpoint, made no sense. I order the duck. Lukewarm, very hard to cut and chew, sauce was sweet and sour, and kale and grapes were a garnish. Entrees came to table about 10 minutes after ordering. 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees $150 before tip. Arrived at 6:00 and done before 7:00 which is not my idea of a relaxing dining experience. Staff was very nice.

We were also here on day 3 with a group of ten, including the first baby at the restaurant. The service was exceptional. The food presentation was perfect. Seemed like we were in a NYC five star restaurant. Everything we tried was good. The drinks were special. My wife loved the AR Lady. A bit pricey. I hope we can support it in our little town.

Walked in and Hostess was great! Didn’t have a reservation since it was just me, so sat at the bar. All the staff greeted me and I loved how you can see the open kitchen. Had the chicken..very tasty, moist and the greens were perfect. This is my new Monday night eatery!
