We had a great eating experience at Donovan’s. Upon arriving, we were seated promptly and the wait staff was very helpful and courteous. We were a family of four so we ordered the half chicken, the ribeye, a New York strip, and a few sides. All the food was cooked quite well and everything came out promptly. I can tell you my experience with the New York strip where they cooked it perfectly to my specifications, however, the flavor was a little lacking. Outside of that everything was amazing. Amazing! The atmosphere was great, I would definitely recommend trying this place out. The prices for a steakhouse were very good, especially for the size of the cuts of meat that you get. Most mid to high-end steakhouses will charge you a lot of money for a smaller cut. However, I feel like this is one of the best values you can get at a steakhouse in Tampa.

I had a great Birthday dinner here! We had reservations for 5pm. On the reservation, it says to let them know if it’s a special occasion upon arrival (not knowing if they give you a free dessert to celebrate). You definitely want to do this.

This is one of our “go to” local restaurants in the area. The food is great, staff is friendly, and seating is never an issue. It sits in a quaint area of town that has other local shops and businesses. There is always some new type of game meat if you’re interested in that sort of thing. On our recent stop there was Kangaroo on the menu.

Excellent food! Excellent service, only did 4 stars for atmosphere due to the air conditioning being out when it’s ten thousand degrees out and eating dinner over steaming hot food and sweating isn’t that great of an experience BUT the amazing food made up for it and so did Anthony are humorous and attentive server!

Had a fabulous dinner. Great food and service. We’ll be back! We had corn fritters, char grilled oysters, bourbon salmon, smoked chicken, shrimp, baby bellas, Mac and cheese, bone in ribey, Wagyu steak, baked potato, sweet potato and carrot cake. The steak was the absolute best!! Update went back October 2022 and another update for July 2023 and our experience was still top notch! The service and food was still superb! Keep it up Donovan’s

The steak was awesome. The sweet potato ravioli were delicious, I could taste the spice which was nice though I could go for a little bit of salt opposite, like a slice of something you can add to it to bring together that sweet and salty. Mushrooms were flavorful. Charcuterie had a peach habanero to die for. They need to sell a jar of this 😉

The food was very good. I got the lamb chops with mashed potatoes. I also got prime rib flatbread and lobster escargot for appetizers. I got the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The dessert was amazing. The staff was very nice and professional. It was overall great customer service.
